I was fortunate enough to catch a live performance of ph Balance while performing in Atlanta in Spring 99. I was FLOORED! This CD is a musical experience like no other... tantra for the ears.

I been fortunate to catch 2 shows in Atlanta, and I have to say Ph Balance is the best live performance I've seen all year.

Not a single dud on this intriguing amalgam of jazz vocal style, rap, hip-hop, and truly soulful melodic and percussive combos. Rap and hip-hop for non-fans of that musical style. I have rarely heard such a creative foray into multiple musical styles pulled off with such seamless craftiness. How long will this CD go before it gets a giant contract from a major rec company? On the other hand, leave them alone so I can keep catching them cheap in Atlanta. Get it and listen to it now! I have gone over it ten times without any lapse in interest. Great stuff. Since the begining of time the human race has longed for music that encompasses the many emotions in our lives. Well, the album that mixes all emotions into one CD has finally arrived! This band has produced sounds that will apply to every aspect of your life, and leave you with a smile.

Salty, sultry vocals, sufficient base with no excess, lyrics to draw in the senses , and percussions that saturate without dominating come together to give PH Balance just the right Chemistry. A prescription for pleasure, PH Balance was never this interesting in college!

Hearing Pam Howe's vocals and the band's music is an incredible experience. This band, incredible live, now has a CD to help you get through a day with a ph balance-fix! The group has got an incredible message in it's lyrics, and yet you can just break it down with the beat sometimes!

Although the music-makers behind ph Balance have been in the Atlanta music scene for years, this new incarnation is jammin'! Mix Pam Howe's gorgeous vocals with Chris Burt's music genius and some trip-hop sounds and you get this wonderful album. On top of that, there is a message in the lyrics.

I am not musically sophisticated. I like everything from Lauren Hill to Barbra Streisand. I think ph Balance sounds like a mix of jazz and hip-hop. They are at times cool and red-hot. Mellow and sexy. Profound and silly.

Finally, a disclosure: Pam's my sister, so I'm a bit prejudiced. But I think they're great. Get the album!
