Book Description

May 2000
Civil War ghosts and haunted lighthouses are the focus of the ninth volume of the Spirits Between the Bays ghost/folklore series. Learn of the spirits in Gettysburg's Farnsworth House Inn and Restaurant and the ghosts at Point Lookout State Park (at one time site of the Nation's Largest Civil War Prison).

Readers also will read the eerie tales associated with a graveyard near Easton, Maryland, ghostly activity in two Delaware businesses, ghost hunters in New Jersey, what it's like to move a corpse and the strange encounters at "the most haunted lighthouse in America," located at the southern tip of Maryland's Western Shore.

Nearly 20 stories are included in this terrifying volume, and eight of the sites are open to the public--the most listed in any volume since Welcome Inn, Vol. III, our very popular book on haunted inns restaurants and museums.

4.0 out of 5 stars Believable yet amazing, June 29, 2009

This review is from: Phantom in the Bedchamber (Spirits Between the Bays series) (Paperback)
I've enjoyed all of Eddie Okonowicz's books so far, and this one is no exception. His stories are always written in a believable way; even the more amazing ones seem possible the way he tells them. I suggest you also try his 2 books, Possessed Possessions (orig. and #2). Those were really scary, and makes you think twice about "antiques"...
