This was such a good book! I hard time putting down. The funny thing is I meet Katheleen Galajda (The Author) and we became very good friends. I didnt even know she was writer till she gave me signed books and Phantom Love was one and it was a truely amazing book to read. I just love Laura in this book, Laura was so lost without her parents and moving into a cottage in no mans land and finding out she was dating a ghost. You will have to read to see how Laura life was destroyed.

Everyone in life, at times, experiences either one of two strong emotions: a disconnection from their surroundings or a direct connection and bond with another person. Now add these two elements together and you have Kathleen Galajda's fantasy/romance A Phantom Love for Laura Lee.

The story follows Laura Lee, an artist, trying desperately to push herself out of a rut after the death of her parents. On the spur of a moment, she answers an ad and rents a cottage in Jefferson county. Little did she know this cottage will hold many surprises for her.

The twist with this novel is that the author has spun two tales in one book. She not only tells the story of Laura Lee and the mysterious man she has fallen in love with, but also of Detective Mark Johnson, a man tormented with the death of his wife and child. This torment comes to the forefront when he gets involved in the death of a young woman. An unusual pull into this woman's life begins to get a hold on him and the need to find out what happened to her gets stronger by the minute as he reads her diary.

Kathleen's writing voice is fresh and entertaining. Although the book contained a few typos and areas where the manuscript could have been tightened up, overall these do not take away from the story captured within her book.

Book Review

"A Phantom Love for Laura Lee"

by Kathleen Galajda

"A Phantom Love for Laura Lee" is a haunting love story and paranormal experience rolled into one. Ms. Galajda does an excellent job of executing the unreal with the real. Each page rolls into the next one without disturbing the reader's concentration in unraveling the mysterious events that lead up to and destroy Laura Lee's life. Join Detective Mark as he reads Laura's journal to decipher and understand her reluctance of taking a step that leads her to death instead of life. Feel Mark's pain as he comes to grip with his own sorrow - his own tragedy of losing his wife and daughter in a boating accident. Feel Stephen's mysterious presence as he blends in and out of the shadows of non existence, his growing love for Laura, and his fierce determination to claim her. I recommend this book highly to anyone who ever felt their hair stand on end, got goose bumps when they felt another's presence, or for the eternal dreaming of young women in love who want more than reality can possibly ever deliver. Five thumbs up.
