I am strongly disappointed that Amazon would let this slip through.1) This is a CD-R, not a CD. 2) The sound quality is horrible. It sounds like they were transcoded from very badly ripped Mp3s. In fact, after analysis, that is what they are! 3) Best bet is to avoid this recording and get Universal Masters instead. As for me, I wish I had my money back. And I am a huge Kayak fan, but this is a horrible release. I'm surprised that I am the only one to comment on it. UPDATE: 4/24/10 After a while of giving this a listen, I have to admit that half of these tracks are better than very badly ripped Mp3s. The better sounding ones are the same that appear on Universal Masters. So, if you have Universal Masters and plan on getting this for the tracks that you do not have, save your money. I would recommend you trying to find the studio albums that they came off of instead. |
