5.0 out of 5 stars Darby rides Hoku for the first time out of water, September 28, 2008
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Phantom Stallion: Wild Horse Island #5: Fire Maiden (No. 5) (Paperback)
Darby Carter lives on her grandfathers ranch in Hawaii and is in the process of training her mustang filly Hoku. She's also going on a camping trip on the slopes of a nearby volcanoe for a school project with her friend Ann Potter and her cousin Megan. But shortly before the trip, earthquakes rock the little island and the volcanoe doesn't look to calm. Darby is afraid to leave Hoku behind in case of more earth quakes, she knows she has to be there for the filly. Then when the volcanoe does erupt Darby has to trust her filly to carry her out of the lava's path.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild Horse Island: Fire Maiden, August 16, 2010
This review is from: Phantom Stallion: Wild Horse Island #5: Fire Maiden (No. 5) (Paperback)
This was my favorite Wild Horse Island book. I like the series better than Phantom Stallion, and Darby is not nearly as annoying as Sam Forster. I like Megan and Cade; I think they are my second favorite characters. I am glad this is a good series.
