Product Description

Welcome to Ikaria, a city steeped in chaos.

If the ever deepening recession wasn't enough for the Ikarian citizenry to worry about, they are now being hunted by Scarlet, the mysterious Phantom Thief. But Scarlet isn’t interested in jacking your car or lifting your MP3 player; she has a much bigger bounty in mind… your heart!

Join Kenya, the coffee-holic police detective, in his quest to restore peace and order to his twisted hometown. But with friends like Marina, the two faced police secretary, and his militant cowboy boss, capturing Scarlet might be the least of Kenya’s worries.

More About the Author

Mia Aruna is an indie cartoonist and business owner of "Seeking Liminality Studio."

Mia Aruna's strange ways started at a very young age; ways that made her teachers and classmates question the quality of her home life. On occasion, Mia would come to school raving about her mother's famous bedtime stories, stories about alien cookbooks called, "How to Serve Man" gremlins on the wings of airplanes and other classic "Twilight Zone" tales. Those around her prayed that Mia would eventually grow out of her odd fascinations, but things only got worse.

By the age of fourteen Mia had already developed a strong love of Japanese comics/animation and worst of all...videogames. At lunch time, while all the other girls were chatting it up about boys, smut and romantic comedies, the introverted Mia would be sitting alone, notebook in hand, penning otherworldly tales and sketching videogame characters. Concerned for her sanity, Mia's teachers pulled her aside and asked her if she were having problems at home. But the intervention was futile, for by that time Mia had already developed a website complete with a collection of her art and stories.

It was too late to save her now, and to everyone's dismay a cartoonist was born.

Mia went on to earn a BA in English Literature and a certificate in East Asian Studies at the University of Cincinnati. And shortly after graduation she launched "Seeking Liminality Studio" an independent publishing company specializing in digital, fantasy graphic novels and manga. She now seeks to encourage others not to fit in, to follow their dreams, embrace imagination and to innovate through her debut graphic novel series "Phantom Thief Scarlet," a tale as bizarre as its story teller.
