I bought this because I was getting "jello" in the videos taken by my DJI Phantom. This is a common problem and much of it can be helped by balancing your propellers, or better yet, purchasing firmer (and balanced) carbon fiber props. This mount does dampen the vibration experienced by the camera with the original camera mount and also for those who use the standard GoPro housing instead of the stock camera mount. All in all I think this mount is worth getting because it does help. You get pretty decent video with balanced props and this vibration dampener and so I recommend it. It's easy to assemble and installed without any disassembly of the Phantom. It mounts where the original mount is attached and then the original mount is attached to the dampener. Assembly and installation takes about ten minutes.

If you use a GoPro on your Phantom, you need one of these. It soaks up most of the hi-freq jiggles that typically wreck your video and you get a much better result. Some vibration still comes through and the props still need to be balanced, but its a huge improvement over the stock mount.

Note: If you use the GoPro's waterproof case, it hangs down low enough with this mount to strike the ground on rougher landings.

Simple yet well thought out accessory. I didn't have allot issues with video jello artifacting that has been a problem for others with the DJI Phantom but when I use this simple vibration dampener at a film shoot at a local skate park it really helped the image quality. Its a small but noticeable improvement and in the day of 1920 x 1080 capture it makes all the difference.

first flight with go pro and waterproof case got rid of the jello but picked up a wobble. Tightened screws to find one was a little loose, changed to go pro cradle that came with phantom and lo and behold no jello and no wobble, except for bad piloting, most pleased with results. So item considered good buy and general success.

This works very well for the price however I mounted and flew 6 or 7 batteries always touching the go pro case when landing because I put it together incorrectly. The white piece should go through the hole not under it. I will try to attach pictures if possible.

Much more stable images than before installing the vibration isolator. For the price, it's a great deal. I had read other comments about it falling apart during an impact, so I just put a very loose tie wrap through one of the grommets after it was all put together. That way, even if the grommets let loose in an impact (I've had my fair share so far), the camera should still remain connected. See the picture I uploaded.

I should first state that I didn't attach my camera prior to installing this product. But with it installed, my video looks great. My props are also not balanced yet but the video is still great when moving slowly. A fast ascent or descent will cause a lot of excess vibration, but I don't think there's anything that will improve this.

Bottom line - this is an inexpensive worthwhile addition. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars it because it really should have some sort of included tether. I had a nice crash (hit the top of a 50' tree) and couldn't recover from it so it fell hitting branch after branch all the way down and the mount fell off. Fortunately I found the camera nearby, but a simple tether as a back up in case of this would be a nice addition, although easy enough to make yourself. Lack of instructions (although not complicated to figure out) is also a negative - they could have a very simply diagram on the back of the packaging.

I bought this for my DJI F450. I had to use my Dremel and cut two VERY small notches on the stock landing gear to make the plates fit. I used 3M double sided pads to stick the plate to the bottom of my quad. This completely removed the jello effect from my video. One thing to note, I am using a SJCAM SJ4000, though I would imagine the mounts for the GoPro act very much the same as this one. I am using the waterproof housing with the small buckle style connector, with another clip 3M'd to the bottom carbon plate. This lets me remove the camera completely and quickly for repairs, uploads, or when I want to attempt stunts and don't want to risk camera damage. I had one of those solid mounts for the GoPro connected to it, much like the one pictured in Photo 3 of this auction, and it is HORRIBLE. It leaves more jello than without the entire dampening system for some reason. I put the waterproof case on and immediately 100% of the jello was gone. Little more weight, but much better video.
