Ando Drom, August 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Phari Mamo (Audio CD)
This is an excellent introduction to Hungarian Gypsy folk music with star female vocalist Mitsou and guest musicians from the Parisian group Bratsch. Ando Drom is an assembly of gypsy musicians from Hungary, both rural and urban, and they bring together a fine blending of traditional styles. The group Bratsch from France has done extensive research in Eastern European musical stlyes (they've been around for over 20 years playing E. European folk music) and on this album they give a very tasteful instrumental backup to the Ando Drom group. High quality studio recordings.

Love It!!!, March 24, 2006
This review is from: Phari Mamo (Audio CD)
Bought this album a while back after I heard the group and gal singers on the Bratsch Album...I have been searching for good Gypsy music from different parts of the world--love the Flamenco--but it is very hard to find. At this point of the day, I just have finished a hard day's of work and virtually exhausted --decided to have a glass of wine and listen to Ano Drom "Phari Mamo". Feel better ...with the uplifing music of the CD.
