1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly written
This is one of the worst textbooks I have come across in my educational career, if not THE worst. These are clearly smart authors who can't write themselves out of a paperbag. This is one of the worst textbooks I have come across in my educational career, if not THE worst. These are clearly smart authors who can't write themselves out of a paperbag. Finding information in this book is like going on a treasure hunt, but sometimes there is no treasure. It is neither clear nor concise. I am sorry I elected to take this class at a school that uses this book. There are so many other choices that are far better to read.

I was hoping the CD included with the text would be helpful, to offset the text. However the CD won't work until you download a patch; a patch that was created two years prior, in 2007. Thanks for the heads-up Delmar Learning!

If you are stuck with this book for a class, I'm sorry. If you can, find another class that uses a different book. There are many online choices to choose from!

2.0 out of 5 stars textbook, February 17, 2007
This text was required by my nursing school, however, I have another degree in Paramedicine in which the pharmacology book I used then was far better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a good overall book, December 3, 2011
Trying to answer the review questions is very frustrating. Sometimes the answers are easy to find, other times it is downright impossible. I found myself using google to find the answer rather than the book, because the answer just wasn't there, and the answers are not in the back to find out if you have guessed right. Overall a poor effort.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst textbook ever, October 24, 2011

I hated every assignment from this book. It has no redeeming value. If you are an instructor picking a book there has to be a better option. The sections that are supposed to teach the math of Pharm are pointless and useless. We also had to buy a separate math book. Calculate with Confidence This was a very useful book. Would have been happier to use only the math one. Didn't learn a thing from this book. This is the only one of my nursing books I am thinking about selling. I know it won't help me at all on boards.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, November 22, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a terrible textbook. It is dry and jumps from one subject to another. There are also way too many abbreviations. I don't want to read 5 or 6 abbreviations on one page at the beginning of a chapter and then be expected to keep them straight for the rest of the chapter. When that happens over and over, you start remembering the abbreviation, but not what it stands for. I also purchased the study guide...don't bother. I located 5 wrong answers (according to the textbook) before I gave up trying to use it. Chapter 34 even had one answer as "e", but only a-d answer choices were provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars pharmacological Review, September 11, 2007
Thanks for the text book. The process was easy, breezy and delivered on time. I probably will purchase my future texts books in the same fashion, if the price is right. Thanks
