We were required to have this text for our pharmacology course (part of the RN program). The text has so many errors and typos that the whole volume becomes questionable. My personal favorite: broad spectrum antibiotics are thusly labeled, according to the book, because of the pills large size...Other chapters refer to appendices allegedly in the back of the book...that don't exist. I spent much of the course using my Davis Drug Guide to sort out the fact from the fiction in this pharmacology text.

Lots of errors and typos! NCLEX questions have the wrong answers! It was so frustrating that after our class was done with Pharmacology, our nursing program changed the textbook for the next class! Please don't waste your money!

Words can not describe the amount distaste I have for this text. The amount of errors I've encountered most likely dwarf the errors that I failed to catch. This makes one wonder if this text is even worth publishing. The NCLEX study questions at the end of each chapter appear straight forward but lo and behold, the answer key says that E is the correct answer for an A-D multiple choice question. The study guide itself makes me question the validity of the text. With the text stating one fact, and the study guide stating another, one of them is bound to be right! As the previous commenter stated, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Our professor has sent email after email to the publisher notifying them of so many mistakes that we have been finding and she has not heard back from them at all! This is the worst and most inaccurate textbook I have ever seen in my life. I think that someone should sue this company for publishing it. This book should be re-categorized as a mystery and suspense novel because you will read one thing and it will tell you something different during a practice test or review module. This book did nothing but continually interrupt my studies due to me having to look somewhere else for accurate information, a mystery book because of all the wild goose chases it sends you on. Just pray that your instructor doesnt pull their test questions from the book's test bank. Let us hope that this book is short lived. DO NOT BUY and please discourage your class from using this book!!!!

Not only is this book full of mistakes, typos and just wrong information, but the binding is falling apart. I purchased this book because it was required for my nursing class. The study guide and the book tell you different answers for the same questions. I know there are many other people in my class that have had to have Amazon replace their copy because the glue in the binding does not hold the pages in the book. Only 6 weeks into owning the books, many have been replaced beecause they are falling apart.

I have looked at additional free resources on the book website and they are not helpful. Compared with prenhall, evolve/elsevier plainly SUCKS! You even have to register to see anything! In comparison, Prenhalls pharmacology text has almost everything out there for students & for FREE. Evolve doesnt even have the older editions resources. After registering, all you get is some useless info. No powerpoints or quizzes. They just want you to buy buy buy stuff! I wish my class picked a different text with a helpful companion site!

Terrible book. The second time I opened it the binding fell apart, third time I started losing pages. I now have to use binder clips to hold the book together whenever I attempt the read the equally useless text. And, of course no online version, which could have redeemed this purchase somewhat. I am seriously considering buying a new, better book for my pharm class. Really ticked that I spent my money on this one. The publisher should be ashamed. Do Not Buy!
