I had to buy this book for my nursing courses, and right away you can tell there are problems. I have the 7th ed. and by now, you'd think mistakes would have been eliminated by now. Not only are there glaring mistakes in the NCLEX study questions, I've caught contradictory information in the text as well. Do NOT rely on this as a study tool for the NCLEX.

This book is organized in a logical fashion. The chapters are colorful and concise. This makes studying each individual chapter tolerable. However, it is obvious that this book was not carefully edited by somebody with extensive pharmacological knowledge.

This book is filled with obvious inconsistencies and outright errors. The chemistry in the "Fluids and Electrolytes" section was especially horrendous. These errors make it difficult to focus on the rest of text because the reader consistently wonders what other errors exist that are being incorporated into their knowledge base.

If the student has a general understanding of basic pharmacology and chemistry so that they can identify errors when they occur, this book is good reference resource.

No access code! Should clearly state that in the description. I thought b/c it was new it would have one.

This is the first text book I have used that tries to stick to the facts. It gives enough information and not all the long drawn out dissertation of the other texts. Nice job.

This book is really easy to read. The text is not complicated at all. Each chapter breaks things down and gives brief summaries before the chapter begins. However, what I did not like about this text was that sometimes I felt like the information whithin in the text and the information in the "focus drug" boxes was somewhat contradictory. The text would say one thing about a drug, then in the focus drug box, it would say something different. I also felt like there was a lot of spelling errors in the book as well. That is something that bothers me considering I paid a lot of money for a book that was supposedly edited and published, obviously not well!

The textbook arrived very promptly, however I was expecting a book in "good" condition based on the product description and the book is what I consider acceptable. Some pages were bent, and the outer and back covering had minor damage to the corners. The book does not look to be in good condition but fair.

i am glad to have this book instead of the e-book version that my school requires to have...there are proven studies that the brain retains more information using an actual book than on the computer--and nursing classes require a lot of reading!...

This is the book we used for my nursing pharmacology class and it was very vague. You go to the book to look something up in more detail and the detail just isn't there... My instructor was much more informative than the book.

The book had much of the same information the instructor was teaching, although I did have to ask the instructor to clarify on many topics because the instruction and the book were in conflict.
