Inaccurate, out-dated information,

This review is from: Pharmacology and Physiology in Anesthetic Practice (Hardcover)
I would give it 1-star had the Physiology section not been as good as it is. However, the Pharmacology section is extremely out-dated. In fact, most citations come from the late 1980s, early 90s. For a book published in 2005, that is unacceptable.... especially in a content area that evolves so quickly. I find it hard to believe that this information was even up-to-date in 2005. I find myself starting to read a chapter, such as the antibiotics chapter, and stopping after just one page due to the inaccurate information they are presenting. For learning pharmacology, anesthesia or non anesthesia-related, I would stick to other, more accurate books: Goodman & Gilman's, Miller's Anesthesia. In terms of Physiology, this book does an excellent job. However, this book intends to cover both topics. Unfortunately, it only gets half the job done.

This is a great resource for anesthesia providers. I recommend it whether it's a required text or just something you might want to have in your library.

Stoelting is one of the best authors in the field. After reading many anesthesia textbooks, this is one book you don't want to leave out of your library. The references in this book are numerous for future reading.

This book is not accurate, multiple errors in tables, graphics and content. Just have it bc is pharmaco textbook. Waiting the semester to end to get rid of it.
Don't get it, don't waste your money.
