I thought this book was very helpful. It covers pretty much all the questions I would have had about starting my career, great information. A must-read for any future Pharmacy Techs out there :)

I'm planning on becoming a pharmacy tech. This book was helpful in a general sort of way. There were no specifics except for one chapter on actual position. This book was more of a career overview and not specific information on education or training. Somewhat dated but a motivating influence on anyone considering this field of endeavor. Due to recent changes as of 1/1/09 that requires techs to be certified and have background checks by DEA then I suggest a more current edition.

Mediocre if you intend to use this as a study guide. Fabulous if you are looking to learn more about a possible career change.

This book is to learn more about what it is Pharmacy Technicians do, job opportunities that are out there, resume suggestions, and a few websites.

Definietly not terrible if used in conjucntion with a pleauthora of other study guide but do not use this as a main focus unless you are very unsure of what it is a Pharmacy Tech does.

Three stars as a study guide

Five stars as an explination of the job and other facets involved in understanding procuring employment

I borrowed this book from the library, so I, luckily, did not waste any money on it. I can't believe they managed to fill up 179 pages. The information in the book is the same kind one could find on the internet. It doesn't help with a pharmacy technician career, it just tells you about it. Why waste the money. Go to Walgreens or Target or a local hospital and talk to a real tech. It would be a better way to spend your time.
