5.0 out of 5 stars Pharos PT120 Bluetooth GPS, November 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pharos PT120 GPS Receiver for Pocket PC (Electronics)
I am using this GPS with my HTC-Mogul, and Live Search from Microsoft works great, only sometimes I have difficulty connecting to it, but I think that is mostly the fault of the phone, the unit is small and fits easily in my pocket so I can travel with it. The battery life is great, over all I am very happy with it. I called Pharos for tech support when I first got it due to the connection problem and they were great they helped me out and it has worked fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Addition to PBA, June 15, 2007
This review is from: Pharos PT120 GPS Receiver for Pocket PC (Electronics)
I purchase this PBA for a trip to Europe. The product performed well. The interface is slightly difficult to learn and finding some locations in Europe is slightly difficult. Overall I can recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy and portable GPS, November 12, 2011
This review is from: Pharos PT120 GPS Receiver for Pocket PC (Electronics)
This Pharos PT120 GPS Receiver is hand small and portable. The bluetooth feature allows me tp connnect to either a Tablet or PC when I use the mapping or directions apps. It allows more acccuracy than the built in gps sensors.

This was purchased as a gift for my son, who uses it with a Treo 650. He is very pleased with the product. He reports that its setup was not as easy as it might have been, but it has performed flawlessly for him here in the U.S.A.

Use this with my Dell Axim X51v PDA, and Ostia from Pharos. It works great, only sometimes I have difficulty connecting to it, but I think that is the fault of the Axim. The unit is small and fits easily in my pocket so I can travel with it. The battery life is great, over all I am very happy with it. I called Pharos for tech support when I first got it due to the connection problem and they were great they helped me out and it has worked fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good alternative to $300.00 units, August 13, 2008
This review is from: Pharos PT120 GPS Receiver for Pocket PC (Electronics)
I have a smartphone that runs GPS software, but does not have a built in GPS unit. Rather than spend $300.00+ on a stand alone unit, I bought the PT120 to link to my phone and it works like a charm!

Got this product as described, I got it to replace a GPS that I was using in Delorme's Street Atlas. Using Vista, I was able to find the device, but the mapping software had constant issues with connecting to it and using it. I did end up using GPS Gate, and this resolved the issues that I was having. I also got the CF adapter, which is great for using the GPS in several applications.

That being said, the device is nice. Once I got around the technological issues, I have been able to use this device without any issues. One odd thing, if you leave the device on and do not connect to use it, after a while the bluetooth goes into a stand by mode where you can not connect to it. You just need to turn it off and back on, and since it is a "warm" start, the GPS fix is almost instantaneous.

I have not really got a chance to try out the battery life yet.
