This is a real dancing machine cd. If you love to dance just try seating down when this cd is playing. I just could not stop popping, hopping and jamming to every beat. Brought back alot of good old memories.

Good selection of songs in their full length versions. These type of compilations have been in short supply lately. I hope the record companies begin to see that these are worthwhile.

I got this disc for one song, the uncut, full length version of "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind and Fire (with the Emotions). The rest of the disc is good - but "Boogie Wonderlan" is in a class by itself!! Five stars!!

Even if you recognize no other song on this disc, it has the 12" versions of Boogie Wonderland and Ain't No Stoppin Us Now, which makes it a MUST HAVE. Get it before it's out of print. Track times for this volume:

I was very disappointed by the sound quality of all the songs on the CD. My favorite song "Heartbeat" sounded old an uninviting. All the tracks are flat sounding. No dynamics. No bouquet of sound. The sound quality is less than MP3. I was completely surprised that it was compiled by Rhino Records. I have several collections from them and never had this problem. Unknown if this is a quality issue with the CD itself or if they used old worn out masters from a secondary source to create this CD compilation. The release date on the CD is 1997. Rhino probably needs to get digital remasters and create a new CD.

In 1982 or maybe even 1983 there was a song the beat gos on by orbit. The song was so popular that I couldn't find it anywhere. Time went by and I forgot who put the song out. I like this cd there are a lot of songs that like. So I'm glad to finally get this old school cd. I collect old school jams.

Listening to all the songs on this Phat Trax,would make anyone want to buy it.This is the best music i've heard so far.I really like these songs.There is alot of songs on here that are real nice songs.I think people should check it out.My #1 song on here is heartbeat.I think people should check this cd out.
