4.0 out of 5 stars Are you a Phenomenon?
The question is; are you a phenomenon? Do you amaze your friends with your "sixth sense" by being able to predict an unexpected event or maybe just be able to guess the winning lottery ticket more often then is "normal." If you suspect that you may be "different" from "normal" people, then you need to watch this program because you will see others just like you compete to...

2.0 out of 5 stars It's the CRISS ANGEL SHOW!! GET LOST CRISS!!
With the presence of Criss Angel I actually chopped this particular episodes a full two stars. While the talent did very well and I admire their abilities to perform live and under great pressure to harness their skills, Criss Angel's agenda seems to be to simply advertise himself, <Spoiler Alert> and in Episode 2 at one point bullies and challenges one contestant by...

The question is; are you a phenomenon? Do you amaze your friends with your "sixth sense" by being able to predict an unexpected event or maybe just be able to guess the winning lottery ticket more often then is "normal." If you suspect that you may be "different" from "normal" people, then you need to watch this program because you will see others just like you compete to gain the designation as a true Phenomenon.

On these shows you will see several people who also think they are extraordinary in their abilities. They test themselves by doing various amazingly dangerous action that could hurt them; or worse. One will determine which of four vases holds a deadly snake or merely a beautiful necklace from an amazingly beautiful Playboy playmate. Or another may be able to keep themselves from drinking a deadly acid or be immediately killed with a nail gun. These and other equally heart stopping tests are demonstrated by the contestants to prove to the world-renowned psychic Uri Geller or the outrageously magical Criss Angel that they are truly a Phenomenon.

If you have a weak heart or don't like the paranormal or just want to spend another bland evening watching scripted "reality" TV, then don't watch these episodes. Keep with the predictable and save yourself from a stunningly good time.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's the CRISS ANGEL SHOW!! GET LOST CRISS!!, November 16, 2007
This review is from: Phenomenon (Amazon Instant Video)
With the presence of Criss Angel I actually chopped this particular episodes a full two stars. While the talent did very well and I admire their abilities to perform live and under great pressure to harness their skills, Criss Angel's agenda seems to be to simply advertise himself, <Spoiler Alert> and in Episode 2 at one point bullies and challenges one contestant by unfairly asking him to tell him what he has in an envelope in his pocket which had nothing to do with the contestants act whatsoever. It was rude, unnecessary, and in my opinion jealousy on the part of Criss that the spotlight was again not on him and the only way to get it on him was to create this drama. Some theories are that it was purposely done to increase show ratings since it was totally out of place, in which I say what a cheap trick and again, another Criss spotlight opportunity.

If Criss can't be respectful to people starting out, then he needs to be replaced. Quite honestly his show is pure bunk and after watching 3 episodes of it I became ill when I figured out like 3 of his tricks and got tired of his self pity regarding how little vacation time he gets. Booo fricken hoo. Criss is just a hack and is looking at this show as a stepping stone for himself, not as an opportunity to help others. He rarely has anything positive to say about the contestants and you get the feeling that he just believes he's better than everyone on there. Well guess what, maybe in some cases, but not all, and by the way, you're suppose to judge and give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism not get the cameras on you.

Anyways I belabour the point. I just can't stand the show because of Criss and please, get rid of him and bring someone else who's not a snot nosed brat.
