Thin Lizzy's frontman delivers impressive solo effort!, June 13, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Phil Lynott Album (Audio CD)
Phil Lynott, lead singer for the rock band 'Thin Lizzy" has delivered a solid album in his second solo attempt. His mastery of lyrics and music shine through in songs such as Fatalistic Attitude and Old Town. His caring and nurturing side can be heard in the beautiful 'Cathleen'. Fans of the 'harder' and 'faster' Lizzy tunes may be dissapointed, but for the die-hard fans and anyone who has heard 'the man that can rhyme any word', this is a must have!!! Any serious Thin Lizzy collection is not complete without this album / CD>

Same sound as early T. Lizzy, February 9, 2000
This review is from: Phil Lynott Album (Audio CD)
I would compare this album to that of the early Thin Lizzy material ( Shades of a Blue Orphanage, Vagabonds) minus the story telling aspects of those albums. Very relaxed album and as the earlier reviewer stated their are not any really "rocking" tunes compared to the mid 70's Lizzy but overall a wonderful album and worth getting now since it will probably never come out domestic (US)
