5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Cover
I initially purchased this to keep the sun off of my 2 mo old daughter and was worried that I had to have it on both the front and back portions at the same time. I was pleasantly suprised to find it so easy to use and the front and back can be adjusted to work independently or all together. I have the black mesh for a red buggy and the entire cover is easy for the kids...

2.0 out of 5 stars dont bother
Tried the sun cover because yes it does get sunny in Washington. the fit is too tight and hard to get over the stroller when you have both seats on. the kids pushed and pushed until it would come off

4.0 out of 5 stars Good sunshade, April 3, 2008

I bought the double suncover even though I presently only using it with my single stroller. I figure, why buy a single and then later, a double? The soft, drapy material makes it not a big deal to have the excess hang in the back. Also as a bonus function, I figured the extra material could be helpful to provide some privacy when my baby is sleeping in the almost flat position. Unfortunately, I don't think the darkness is as dark as he needs it to fall back asleep if he wakes up, but it's seems dark enough to help him fall asleep initially. The cover fits the stroller perfectly and is easy to put on. It's very hard to see inside the stroller but I can peek through the holes on either side of the handlebars to see if he's asleep, but only in the recline position.

In case you're wondering if your child sees anything through the dark mesh, it is easier to see out than in. But once, I put my face right up to the mesh because he didn't seem to see me despite me calling him when my face was a couple inches away...and I startled him! Fortunately, he doesn't seem to mind the cover on once we are rolling. I only worry that he may be get too little stimulation so if direct sunlight isn't going into the stroller, it's pretty easy to lift the cover and keep it ontop of the canopy until you need it.

I've been attaching the toggle and elastic around the frame, above the lower basket to keep the excess material from dragging near the wheels. Sometimes I've forgotten and it hasn't gotten me in trouble yet. But with that attached, I can't lift the cover up and over the canopy.

When comparing to the Mountain Buggy suncover (which doesn't fit of course), I really like how that company sews in zippers to allow quick access to the child (like their raincovers too). It also has a small, black piece of material that can cover the mesh part to provide extra darkness over the face area, or allow you to unzip the mesh window and use just the solid black section as an extension of the canopy. I have mixed feelings about the harder, more durable material of their suncover. My 8 month old reaches out to grab the suncover and I'm sure has snagged it in a couple spots already. But the softer mesh allows more compactness for storage.

If P & T could incorporate zippers in their covers and find a way to allow you to view the baby in upright position easier, I would definitely give it 5 stars!

POISTIVES: great thing as a protection against mosquitos and sun, it works great.
NEGATIVES: a litte bit heavy and big to store. When the back seat lay down, it is too short up there.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Phil and Ted's UV Sunny Days Classic Sport Double (Baby Product)
Got this to help with my son's hatred for the sun in his face. I truly thought it would be a hassle, but my husband said to get it. I am so happy I did! I LOVE IT!! It is so easy to put on and it fits right into place. My son enjoys riding inside of it because he can see out and the sun stays out of his eyes. It is also great for areas where there are a lot of flies or mosquitoes because it keeps them out! I highly recommend this product!!!

I love how this keeps bugs out & most of the sun off my children. I can go for long walks and never have to worry about my children being sunburnt because of sun exposure. The mesh was so easy to put on and it stayed securely in place. I would buy it again!

I bought the double sun/insect mesh even though I only have one child in anticipation of the future. It works fine even with only one seat. It goes on pretty easily and my 2 month old can see out of it just fine.

My mesh came with a missing snap in the back, but there seems to be no issues, we generally only snap the top snaps to keep it in place. And I do wish it had a flap to get to the baby easier. Overall it is a great product and I don't have to worry about my baby getting sunburned or bit by bugs while I am running.

4.0 out of 5 stars does the job, April 27, 2009

I wonder why it's black. Wouldn't it keep the baby cooler if it were a somewhat reflective color? Regardless, it seems to do its job well. I wish the company had made it zip onto the sunshade, instead of covering it, so I could use the peeking window. I like that it has 4 snaps on the bottom. I use a plastic clip from Ikea to hold the extra fabric together when I'm not using the double.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, April 13, 2009
This review is from: Phil and Ted's UV Sunny Days Classic Sport Double (Baby Product)
I bought this for my Phil & Ted's Sport stroller and it's VERY effective in keeping the bright sun out of my little girls eyes. It looks really dark in the picture but once you get it you'll see that it's a dark mesh that works like giant sunglasses. Keeps everything harmful out (bugs and sun) but baby gets a nice breeze. It's also easy to store in the mesh pocket in the P&T basket under the seat.

Again, Phil and Ted never include instructions so its up to you to figure out the nuances of putting this thing on. At first, my toddler was a bit scared to be covered by this large black blanket like material (she sits in the front) but soon discovered she liked "hiding" behind it. The cover is LARGE and when you no longer need it, it secures in one of the side saddle bags (another accessory) easily. Getting it on takes a few minutes so just hope you have the 3-4 minutes to snap it back on when you can. This isn't for short trips. This is better for those longer trips when you know you'll be walking around a lot with the kids (i.e. theme parks).
