Fogs up way too quickly,
By
This review is from: Phil & Teds Double Storm Cover (Baby Product)
I purchased this cover specifically for going to wet and windy Ireland. I was going for 4 months so knew it would come in handy! It does what its supposed to do ie keep the wind and rain out but it fogs up very quickly, which kind of freaked me out as I thought the children weren't getting enough air (the stroller was in the infant-toddler mode). Also you cannot quickly access the children - there should be a zipper or something like that to access the toddler quickly in the front, much easier to access the infant at the back.

The rain cover does a pretty good job of keeping the kids dry. It does have a couple of drawbacks, it is almost impossible to get it on and have it stay in place. The part that covers the child in back has velcro on the sides and it is often pulled so tight that the velcro comes undone. Also, there are two openings right where your hands would be to hold the handle of the stroller and push, but these never seem to line up with the handle, instead the openings just let water in on the child in back. It was worth purchasing though because its the only thing that will fit the awkward shape of the stroller and for the most part the children stay dry.

Great for just cold outings,

This cover is perfect for keeping the wind out on those colder days. I didn't think I would need it because when its stormy outside, I'm not taking the baby out. But when its a nice winter day with some wind, this keeps the baby nice and cozy inside with perfect visibility.

I love this stroller and the cover just makes it that much better. Anyone with two kids in a stroller should have this. I live in the city, so this is more important to me than my car.

I gave it four stars because the velcro portion was a tad difficult to line up nicely and close up with out a bit of a struggle, plus a bit pricey, however, overall the product was excellent the one time we did use it. Afterwards our entire stroller was stolen from Disneyland. Even though we only used it once, it is a great product and fits well as intended for the P&T double sport stroller. On a side note! - watch your stroller, lock it at any theme parks! Theives will come in with cheap umbrella stroller only to ditch theirs and take yours!

Just awesome! Very worth the price, can't beat the fact that it snaps on to the stroller, baby can't kick it up or toss it off!

Terrible Design!,

At least three big problems:
1)The cover doesn't entirely protect the kid on the bottom, so prepare for someone to get damp. 2) You have to get on the ground to snap the snaps in place. You're soaking wet by now. 3) It's extremely bulky when folded -- as in, it takes up almost the entire storage space at the bottom. If I had it to do all over again, I would not buy a Phil & Ted's stroller! Especially if it rains a lot where you live.

does the job, but has a design flaw,

This fit just fine and was easy to put on the stroller. It DOES work in the newborn/toddler configuration prvided the stroller's sun shade fits over your toddler in the upper seat. If your toddler is so tall that you have to keep the shade back in the newborn/toddler configuration, then this is useless until your infant can ride in the infant/toddler configuration. As others have stated, the cover does fog up fairly quickly but not so much that the kids can't see out.
The major design flaw is the toggle at the bottom of the cover. It's a PITA to undo quickly to let the kids out. Why P&T didn't use a velcro strap there, I'll never know. |
