A book full of smiles!, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Philadelphia: Portrait of a City (Hardcover)
[[ASIN:0882407511 Philadelphia: Portrait of a City
What could possibly be different about this book containing photographs of Philadelphia? Apparently capturing those photos through the magical lens of Michael Gadomski's camera makes all the difference. As a resident of the Philadelphia area my interest was piqued because I was familiar with Michael's first book "Wild Pennsylvania." How could someone who has an overt love of nature find similar beauty in photographs of bricks, mortar and an occasional landscape? He did and you won't be disappointed. I found myself smiling again and again as I turned the pages. The spirit of the city is captured and bound in "Philadelphia, Portrait of a City." I purchased multiple copies of this book to share the allure of "Philly" with friends and colleagues. My only other suggestion is to finish your cheese steak before touching the pages!
