I picked this up with no knowledge as to what to expect, and was happily surprised to find above average sound recording and great performances - the best live Lester Young recording that I am aware of. Young seems to be the featured performer here, with Clayton and Hawkins also turning in fine performances. Young's playing showed no signs of deterioration here that affected his later years - it is well worth picking up for any fan of Young and this group of swing era performers. My only negative is that the liner notes are less informative than I would like.
