Great Shampoo -- works but very gentle on skin and haircolor,
My favorite shampoo ever. I have skin very sensitive to either natural or artificial scents, reasonably oil (wash every day or two) and my hair is dyed. My skin doesn't react at all to this shampoo, and it cleans well without stripping any color. I have hair that always needs a conditioner but with this shampoo I almost don't. However, be aware of the new product sizing. The image currently shown is the 8oz (blue label) bottle, but what ships is the 7.4oz (black label) bottle for the same price.

This shampoo works for me. I have extreme sensitivity to almost all fragrances. It leaves my hair clean and manageable even without a conditioner.

If you know even a bit about hair care, you know that harsh, bubbly shampoos strip the hair. You also know that ingredients like shea butter, rosemary, nettle, and horsetail are extremely good for hair, too.As an African-American woman, I am familiar with those ingredients as they have been staples of many hairdresses and pomades, creams, shampoos, etc. for about 20 years now. I chuckle when I see them in mainstream products, rather than just those products marketed to African-American consumers. This shampoo is not completely without chemicals but it is filled with natural ingredients that offset them. The ratio of "natural" products to chemicals is quite good. Rosemary is a stimulant which encourages hair growth during the "growth" cycle. Shea butter helps lock in moisture and the other ingredients each have their own helpful properties. If you want to maintain hair health and growth, this shampoo is one to get. It would be even better if it was scented, like other Philip B shampoos, but my guess is that as this is marketed as a shampoo for all hair types they didn't want to go too far. I usually put lavender or peppermint or sometimes sandalwood essential oils to achieve the smell I want. A great product...

Great product but a little pricey for shampoo. Works well with my fine, thin hair. Like the smell.
