Combining Philippe Richard's eight-piece cookware set with its two accompanying bonus gifts results in a collection comprehensive enough to start any household kitchen. Constructed of aluminum and covered with a nonstick exterior and interior coating, the 1- and 2-quart saucepans, 5-quart Dutch oven, and 8- and 10-inch omelet pans conduct heat well and release food easily. Lids made of tempered glass resist shattering, provide easy food monitoring, and come with a convenient top loop. Each pan features a sturdy triple-riveted handle coated with heat-resistant nylon for a comfortable hold. As with all nonstick surfaces, it is best to avoid the use of metal utensils and abrasive cleaners. Hand washing is preferred.
On top of this complete cookware set, two additional bonus gifts have been added. The first is a bright red, 6-quart pasta cooker with lid. The second is a 20-piece cutlery and nylon tool set. I don't know how this item was $140 to begin with; I wouldn't pay 20 for it. The quality of the pots is clearly very low. If I had seen this in a store, I would not have looked at it twice. I am a graduate student myself, and am always looking for deals, but it's not a deal if the stuff is crap. Don't be fooled by the bonus: the pasta cooker is made of really thin metal, and looks like it could burn out. The 20-piece cutlery set is terrible - the knives don't look like it'll cut anything. Now I'm wondering how i am going to return it.

I received a set of Tabletops Unlimited cookware for my housewarming and the first time I hand washed them, the nonstick coating started peeling. I only used a plastic spoon in it and one pot I just made green beans so I didn't even stir them and the coating is chipping off. I called and emailed the manufacturer numerous times and no one will call me back. Now I have to go out and buy another set of cookware. What am I supposed to tell my aunt when she asks me why I have new pots? That the ones she bought me weren't worth 2 cents? DO NOT BUY THIS COOKWARE!!!!

Save the money and buy something decent later. This is run of the mill less than mediocre quality cookware. I had purchased one couple of years ago. The rebate did not come in either...
