Format: Hardcover
This book is a part of the College Press NIV Commentary series. The commentary is in depth without being overly academic. It is easily read and understood by anyone and can be used by people of the pew as well as the pulpit. It brings out the meaning of the Scripture and helps make it come alive.

The book has an introduction, outline and bibliography for each letter. The commentary text is in the traditional verse by verse format. All comments are based on the NIV text which is included in sections. There are footnotes for crediting sources and important Greek words are explained in the text. The Greek words are shown both in the Greek alphabet and spelled phonetically, for the rest of us who didn’t study Greek.

This book will be most valuable to someone who is teaching and is limited in budget and time.

The publisher, College Press, also published the Bible Study Textbook series which is now out of print and can be downloaded for free from the publisher's website in pdf form
