As usual Amazon got the TV to me in record time with free shipping. I have had Phillips products before and thought I would take a chance with a refurbished unit. When I unpacked the TV I could see that it was brand new. The protective tape on the frame was still intact and the cord was wrapped the way the factory sends the new TVs out.I have only had this unit for a few days but I am more than satisfied so far. I am using component cables from my Sony DVD player to the TV. Awesome picture using the DVD player. Strong over the air channels are brilliantly portrayed in HD on this TV. What did it cost? $139.00 and free shipping. I don't know if I will have problems in the future with this TV but it is amazing for the money spent.

Perhaps not the sharpest or the one with the best color rendition in the market, but I got this refurbished unit from Amazon for my office and it does the job just fine. It was really a brand new unit that had been returned, so, technically, it was an "open box" unit for a very nice price. I had a 9 inch set I used before and, although extremely portable, it turned out to be too small for my purposes. This one serves as a TV AND a monitor for my PC and the resolution is adequate for both. Don't ask about high definition - my office doesn't get these channels (nothing above 67) so I have not tested it for this purpose. Check other reviews because I think there are issues with the tuner that prevent it from getting all the digital channels (don't take my word for it, though, since I have not tested this feature). Sound is appropriate for a 12 x 12 office.
Analog channels don't look so hot, but I can live with it. I purchased this to be a multi-use unit and I like the PC output just fine (print is readable, web pages look ok), but I haven't used any of the HD features. If I do, I will add to this review.

I use it to watch my programs: glenn, bret, and o'reilly while I work out on my eliptical machine. I really couldn't care about the scratch, but I gave it a 4 due to the blemish, since the ad said it was like new.

I searched all over the internet for the best deal on a 19" LCD last week. This is the best price I could find for a refurbished model. The TV arrived in brand new condition. There is not a blemish on the TV. It is light, it has two HDMI inputs and mounts with a VESA 100 bracket. The picture is excellent. I know it's a crap shoot sometimes to order a refurbished unit, but this one was perfect. You really should consider this model if you are looking for a small LCD - awesome price and great TV

TV arrived in a plain brown phillips box. Inside the box was just the tv and the remote and instructions. Manual was used because one of the pages was ripped. Remote did not work and the tv had small scratches around the edge. You can tell this was a refurbished tv. Tv works great but i had to buy a new universal remote
