One of the first high-definition-capable 27-inch TVs, the Philips 27PT8320 packs such features as a Real Flat monitor, Active Control, Eye Fidelity (with progressive or interlaced scanning), 3D Y/C comb filter, and stereo AV input/output jacks. It also comes equipped with Incredible Sound with DBX hi-fi stereo audio. Active Control continuously measures and corrects all incoming signals to help provide the best picture quality. The feature also monitors and corrects both the sharpness control and video noise reduction control, while the Audio Volume Leveler (AVL) control keeps the TV sound at an even level.
AutoPicture allows users to change the picture settings (color, tint, contrast, etc.) for various types of programming, such as sports, movies, multimedia (games), or weak signals with the push of a single button. AutoSound allows users to select from three factory-set controls (voice, music, and theatre) or a custom control to find the perfect level.
