The 30PW8520's 30-inch RealFlat, high-definition picture widescreen tube affords today's best home cinema viewing when used with a progressive-scan DVD player or an outboard digital set-top box for DTV reception. Picture enhancements like line doubling with Digital Natural Motion (480p/1080i) bring interlaced sources like VCRs and non-progressive-scanning DVD players into the digital realm, and a sophisticated comb filter further improves the quality of incoming interlaced video signals. Eye Fidelity provides the choice between different line doubling and scanning techniques, progressive or interlaced, so you can reduce motion artifacts like jagged edges and stair stepping. The set even offers four-channel sound with a built-in subwoofer for a rich, theatrical presentation. Virtual Dolby Surround simulates surround sound from any two speakers.
In addition, dual-tuner, double-window picture-in-picture lets you monitor one video source--such as a TV channel, the Internet, a videotape, or video game--while watching another. A feature called Active Control continuously analyzes incoming signals and optimizes picture color, sharpness, contrast, and digital noise reduction 60 times per second. Four rear-panel audio-video connections and one set of side AV inputs accommodate composite-video, S-video, and component-video, with one set of high-definition component-video inputs. A 0.125-inch headphone jack lets you listen in private. The set includes an NTSC tuner for standard TV reception and comes with a backlit universal remote control and a 12-month warranty on parts and labor.

I have been using this sytem for the last couple of months has great picture quality and works well. The Sound is good.
