Most Helpful Customer Reviews

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Ron C. Graber on March 4, 2014
This television has been a great addition to our home. The picture is good from all angles, with flexible brightness and contrast to adjust to our tastes. The sound is good, even though we have this TV in a cabinet, the remote is easy to use, and the stand was easy to assemble. The biggest plus for us is the many connections...plenty of HDMI inputs for our XBox and other gadgets, as well as the older video/audio RCA connections for older electronics. The USB is also handy.
The television connects easily to your WIFI network, and is preloaded with apps including Netflix, which was a big reason we selected this tv. All the kids easily use the remote to access the shows they want on Netflix, including my 7-year-old. However, they do complain that the search function on the TV app is more difficult to use than the ROKU version, and gives less complete results.
Two shortcomings...First, the television does not have an app for Amazon instant video, which is too bad. Also, I would characterize the TV overall as sluggish, with what feel like lengthy response times when changing channels, or switching input modes.

**The remote quit working three months in. It may have been abused by my kids, so I won't knock off any stars.

For your money, this tv's picture quality is top notch. I bought the t.v. at Walmart where there was a wall full of different televisions for comparison. Out of maybe 30 of them on, I'd rate this top three. The pictures as crisp as you want it to be, the colors are phenomenally vivid, not even kidding this is the best t.v. I've ever bought. I use it mostly for gaming. The sound is competitive to what you'd see on a bigger and better t.v, but you know with sound bars and all, i don't care. Fine tuning this t.v. is cool, because there's a lot of options. You can plug your computer in to do whatever. It has Netflix. It has Pandora. My phone connected to it automatically without me asking making it super easy to play from my media player. 3 HDMI ports, no more unplugging. All and all, Super awesome and worth what they want. I use this t.v. for a lot and you can still do a lot more with it.

Changing channels is somewhat sluggish
After it's on for like 6 hrs you may notice a slight lag with the speakers but just turn it off and on and it's gone for another 6 ha.
The remote is simple, maybe a little too simple.
I paid $400 Walmart on sale earlier this year.

WirelessConnect your Computer or phone.
Netflix, Pandora plus other apps
LED 1080p HD display
1920x1080p resolution
60 Hz refresh rate, which I like better than most 120's anyway
SRS TruSurround HD
Child Lock
Noise Reducing
Parental Control
monitor port

The Final Verdict: What are you waiting for, it's still a steal with great picture and sound to boot.
