This 55-inch analog projection television combines a terrific picture and sleek, upscale design with a stylish titanium finish. It comes equipped with Philips's own ImageMax technology. Combining multiple stretch technologies--CTI, tint correction, and more--ImageMax continually adjusts saturation and correction levels for sharper colors and noise-free images. The set's high-performance lens system achieves consistent edge-to-edge brightness and contrast with a dramatically reduced focal length, resulting in crisp, well-defined large-screen images and slim cabinet design.

The set's sophisticated, two-line digital comb filter improves the quality of incoming composite or RF video signals by better separating the signal into its basic qualities: chrominance and luminance. Multipoint digital convergence performs automatically to ensure optimal color reproduction and crisply defined edges. In audio, the 55P8341 offers 10 watts per channel and Incredible Surround, an exciting method of widening the stereo spatial image for full-impact home entertainment. A headphone jack affords private listening.

Hookups include rear-panel component-video and side S-video and composite-video connections. (Both rear and side inputs also offer analog stereo RCA jacks.) Other features include dual-tuner picture-in-picture, which lets you monitor one video source--such as a TV channel, the Internet, a videotape, or a video game--while watching another. It comes with a universal remote control. Philips covers parts and labor for one year.

I have this television and it has a picture that will just blow you away. Philips has really improved their technology in the last several years. This has all the features and more than some of the higher priced brands. Why pay more when you can get a name brand for less.

I've had my philips big screen tv for about 2 mounths now, and I love it. I shopped around first to check prices and also picture quality and you can't beat the picture quality you get with this tv. If you don't want to spend alot of money and you want the quility of the higher priced tv's than this is the one for you. I promise you won't be disappointed. I have to say it was worth every penny. Thanks philips for making a great tv.

I bought this projection TV when it first arrived on the shelves and have absolutly loved it ever since. I would strongly recomend it to anyone who enjoys watching movies. If you want to get the full effect on what this TV has to offer than I would strongly suggest that you buy a surrond sound system to go with it. When having a combo like this it really adds to the effect that you are at movie theater.
