We bought the 50" version of this tv in January and it worked for less than 60 days. Four months later we are still battling with Philips to repair, replace or give us a refund. It has been the worst experience having spent so much money for a TV and now being at the mercy of the manufacturer and the repair shops to do something with our set. I would not recommend this TV or any other TV from Philips because they are really awful to deal with and completely unsympathetic to our request for a refund so we can purchase a TV that works! Four months and counting...

Today is 4/19/12, and I bought this TV on 09/30/06. The TV was also moved twice in my car and it has never been serviced. I am today online to buy a bulb for the TV. Can't believe it's lasted this long. No complaints here what so ever!

This is an awesome tv. We would of never bought a hdtv or a 60 inch, but we were in Sam's club and a business returned two of them with nothing wrong with them and they marked it form $2500 down to 300 bucks. It is awesome for watching football, movies and game systems, awesome quality of picture. The only bad thing is it does not get very loud and it is hard to hear.

After reading the other review of this product i felt the need to defend this television. I bought this television (60" model) two years ago and have no problems at all with it. It gets an amazing amount of use. Multiple video game systems, computers, HD cable boxes and tons of use later the screen still works great. The picture at 720p looks incredible.

Beware, this TV is expensive and won't last. Picture went out and only audio worked. The warranty is that so as soon as the warrant runs out, the TV will burn out!!! Philips won't help so don't bother. Get a lifetime warranty or you're SOL!!!

My husband and I bought this TV 2 years ago from a furniture rental place. Someone couldn't finish there lease on the tv so we paid cash and got it used (1.5 years old) for $450. They had just replaced the bulb and so far, we have not had to do anything with it. This tv is so sturdy and can survive a beating... literally! We lost our entire home to the Alabama tornado that hit on April 27, 2011 in Pleasant Grove, AL and the only thing that remained after the storm was this tv, with not a scratch on it. We did have to clean it with a wet wipe to get all the dirt off of it, but other than that, we have had no problems with it. Our friends and family can't believe that it even survived as NOTHING else did that day! We are truly blessed with our lives and our Philips 60" Rear Projection HDTV. We would recommend this tv to anyone!
