Designed for Stability and Safety
The innovative LivingColors Mini features a rounded, acrylic sphere with a flat bottom for added stability. The power cable is 4-1/2 feet long and connects to the power adaptor, which keeps the voltage low.
Because the LEDs emit no heat, you can leave the lamp on for as long as you want. The surface will always be cool to the touch, and it's easily cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
Easy-to-Use Color Wheel
By using the touch-sensitive color wheel, you can quickly and easily choose the color that fits your mood. You can turn the lamp on and off with a touch of the power button, and the color loop feature comes on when you hold down the "I" for five seconds.
Lifetime and Warranty
The normal lifespan of LED lamps is eight to ten years based on an average use of 1-1/2 hours per day. The LivingColors Mini is backed by a one-year warranty.
What's in the Box

Cool little toy,

This review is from: Philips 818564 LivingColors Mini Color-changing LED Ambiance Light, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
Due to the difficulty in buying this in the states, my wife bought me one for my birthday over the summer from Germany. It's a great little toy, fun to completely change the mood/color of a room by selecting a different color on the color wheel. It's interactive and fun. Only downsides are that the pre-installed color loop moves way too quickly between colors, and that you cant pre-program your own sets of color shifts. Also, of course, it's sad that only the mini version is available in the US, the larger version has been selling in Europe since '07...

I LOVE LAMP!,
This review is from: Philips 818565 LivingColors Mini Color-changing LED Ambiance Light, Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have been coveting this little guy since I heard about it a couple of months ago, and now I have one! I love it! I set it up in the corner of my room on my nightstand and when it is pointed at the wall and reflecting off it is not quite enough to read by, but on my light-colored walls it made the whole room glow. The colors are really deep and rich and I found myself staring at it throughout the evening--it felt relaxing, like an aquarium. The dial is very sensitive and it is just fun to use.I probably won't use the "color cycling" mode every day, but it would be nice to set a fun mood at parties, or as a child's night light. I will probably let my young children use this sometimes, too--you could set the light to blue for pretending to scuba dive, or green for a forest on those rainy days when kids are stuck indoors. I am thinking about getting a second one for them so I don't have to share. Overall it's a fun device and I recommend it if you're a big fan of color and changing your ambiance.

Did not Like - Disappointed!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips 818564 LivingColors Mini Color-changing LED Ambiance Light, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
Hello, I am a big fan of color light to create ambiance in a room. Most of my lights are dim-able and my husband and I spend several hours a night relaxing in the dim glow of lights. So I was excited to get this product. However is was a disappointment for me and the hubby. There was several flaws in the design. How the light sits is awkward and the light is prone to roll. It is not intuitive how to place the lamp (globe) to be stable. The new flaw is that the power cord is attached in the direction of the viewer. The product recommends projecting against a wall, which makes sense, but the power cord then is obvious and right in the front. Next the lights are not dim-able so you have to take the intensity of the light that is given to you. Not very subtle or artistic for the user. Finally, the off switch did not work!! So I sent it back to Amazon. I did like the circular finger switch for selecting the color. So I guess I am sort of curious about the reviewers rating the product highly! It is a good idea but I wonder if the engineers did any kind of usability study.
