Paint with Light to Create Atmosphere
The LivingColors Mini LED lamp contains three LEDs that combine to produce a total of 256 different color combinations. By using the touch-sensitive color wheel, you can wash a wall, corner, or room with the color that matches your mood. Place the lamp eight inches away from the wall for the best effect.

Versatility for Different Effects
Create the right atmosphere for cozy evenings at home, dinner parties, game nights, or family events with this versatile lamp. Use the color loop function to watch the LivingColors Mini lamp rotate through its repertoire of colors, using different combinations of its three LEDs to create a unique lighting experience.

Designed for Stability and Safety
The innovative LivingColors Mini features a rounded, acrylic sphere with a flat bottom for added stability. The power cable is 4-1/2 feet long and connects to the power adaptor, which keeps the voltage low.

Because the LEDs emit no heat, you can leave the lamp on for as long as you want. The surface will always be cool to the touch, and it's easily cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.

Easy-to-Use Color Wheel
By using the touch-sensitive color wheel, you can quickly and easily choose the color that fits your mood. You can turn the lamp on and off with a touch of the power button, and the color loop feature comes on when you hold down the "I" for five seconds.

Lifetime and Warranty
The normal lifespan of LED lamps is eight to ten years based on an average use of 1-1/2 hours per day. The LivingColors Mini is backed by a one-year warranty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool little toy, January 14, 2010
Due to the difficulty in buying this in the states, my wife bought me one for my birthday over the summer from Germany. It's a great little toy, fun to completely change the mood/color of a room by selecting a different color on the color wheel. It's interactive and fun. Only downsides are that the pre-installed color loop moves way too quickly between colors, and that you cant pre-program your own sets of color shifts. Also, of course, it's sad that only the mini version is available in the US, the larger version has been selling in Europe since '07...

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE LAMP!, January 27, 2010
This review is from: Philips 818565 LivingColors Mini Color-changing LED Ambiance Light, Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have been coveting this little guy since I heard about it a couple of months ago, and now I have one! I love it! I set it up in the corner of my room on my nightstand and when it is pointed at the wall and reflecting off it is not quite enough to read by, but on my light-colored walls it made the whole room glow. The colors are really deep and rich and I found myself staring at it throughout the evening--it felt relaxing, like an aquarium. The dial is very sensitive and it is just fun to use.

I probably won't use the "color cycling" mode every day, but it would be nice to set a fun mood at parties, or as a child's night light. I will probably let my young children use this sometimes, too--you could set the light to blue for pretending to scuba dive, or green for a forest on those rainy days when kids are stuck indoors. I am thinking about getting a second one for them so I don't have to share.

Overall it's a fun device and I recommend it if you're a big fan of color and changing your ambiance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice buy, January 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a nice though overpriced product. The larger and even more expensive version comes with a remote control and therefore can be placed hidden or at hard to reach places. Another advantage of the larger version is that it can be dimmed, contrary to this smaller version. The smaller version however has a nicer look and fits better in small rooms. Again, a nice buy.
