I gave this to my toddler after a few sleepless nights and bad moods, and he chewed happily on it for quite a while. That's about all I can say. He took it, and USED it, and was happy afterwards. That's more than can be said for some other teethers. Also, his most favorite teether is the teethifier, from another company, but it is the BEST. Different concept, but really worth checking out. He'll pick it up himself and chew on it.

I can't believe how awful this teether is. My baby had his lip pinched between the purple fin and the hard body of the teether. Looking at it, it is obvious this would happen from the design. I should have looked more closely at it before I gave it to him. However, I felt that products supplied by Amazon and designed by Avent would have been absolutely safe. I was wrong. This teether should be withdrawn from sale immediately. Do not buy this teether.

The combination of a teether and a rattle is wonderful, and makes for a great toy. My 10 month old twins fought over it so much that we had to get two identical ones. There are many different textures to chew on and different ways to play with it. For example, one of my twins has a lot of fun looking through the fish and playing peekaboo. The teether would be too big for little babies. If you are looking for a beginner's teether, check out the Philips AVENT Range BPA-Free Front Teeth classic teether (blue oval). It seems so simple, but was the only one that worked when my kids started teething at 4 months old and did not have enough control of their hands to get teethers into their mouths. The classic teethers are still one of their favorites. A very nice line of products overall.

This is well made like all Phillips Avent products. The "tail fins" reach to the back of your little ones mouth. BPA free like all things should be that go into a babes mouth! The little window with small fishes give the baby something of interest to look as they shake and rattle.

Teething is not an easy thing but back theeting is the worst. My son was trying to find some relief by putting all kind of things deep in his mouth. It was unsafe because he was desperatly tring with some smaller items. This ring was perfect for that.
He is absolutely not interested in it anymore now that the teeth came out but I guess it will be a big hit again for the next back teeth to come.

This teether is great because it is also a rattle. My son's favorite teethers are the Philips Avent line, and he has a LOT to choose from. He won't really use his other teethers, just the ones from this line. His favorite to chew on is the front teeth animal round one. This is his favorite to play with. He touches the bumpy fins, shakes the rattle, and chews on the front green part. I highly recommend this.

My 8-month-old grandson is teething and consequently chews on just about anything, Philips Avent teethers included. (Also table edges, books, magazines, baskets, his fist, his mother's ankles.) This is the one thing he doesn't chew on. He likes to look at it, and grabs it, but usually drops it and definitely doesn't spend much time using it as a teether. Perhaps it's too heavy or bulky.

I gave this teether to my 6 month old grandson for Christmas. He loved it. The teether calmed him and was an immediate favorite. It also washes easily and it is easy for a little one to hold. Great product!

This is a good teether for back teeth. It did help my son with his molar teething. He's not a big teether user, but he did use this while his molars were coming in and it seemed to help him. It's very well made and a reasonable price for this so very pleased with my purchase.

My loved one really enjoys this toy. She chews, then shakes, the chews some more. I have seen her use all 3 parts of the teether; the tail for the back teeth, the fins for the middle teeth and the head of the fish for the front teeth. I also like that it can be attached using links or a sippy grippy type of strap because of the design of the tail.
