5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Bottle Brush!!
We had this brush for almost 15 months now, it still in good shape. Don't waste your money on those 99 cents or $1.99 bottle brushes, they just not going to last more than 30 days. Plus the cheap brushes don't have enough bristle density to clean bottles well. Got the Avent brush at a local store, paid more than $4, if I remember correctly. Definitely the best $4 or $5...

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost completely functional
While advertised for Avent bottles, this brush also works well for the narrower Ameda and Medela bottles as well. There are only two problems. First, the nipple cleaner component isn't all that useful -- you'll probably want to buy a separate nipple brush, especially if you also want a smaller scrubber to clean breast pump parts. Second, it would be nice if the brush had...

Definitely the best $4 or $5 we ever spent on a baby item. We will continue to use this item beyond bottle washing, it would be good for washing mugs, wine glasses.... Very well built brush.

5.0 out of 5 stars love this brush, January 4, 2008
By
I love this bottle brush and use it to clean Dr. Brown bottles, the narrow kind. It fits the bottle neck better and when you pull it out, water doesn't splash everywhere like with the thicker Munchkin brush. Would highly recommend it. Just wish there was a way to to stick it to the countertop with a suction cup like the Munchkin brush, but therefore it has the hard plastic cleaner at the end for nipples which I like too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, September 20, 2008

2 babies, 18m and 4m. Used lots of brushes already. Bought this one because of the reviews, and I'm glad I did. Wife loves it. I love it. Much easier to use than older brushes... Bristle actually reach into nooks and crannies, don't break off, and don't stain.

Also works well on the nooks and crannies of my traveling coffee cup. Don't tell the wife. *smirk*

She likes this brush so much, when she went on Vacation to her cousins back in the states, she made me order one so that it would be there waiting. I asked why she just didn't take ours and she said she didn't want to risk something happening to it... ??? Women.

4.0 out of 5 stars so good we bought another one..., May 11, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this for me and the wife to use washing our baby's bottles and my wife's breast pump and supplies. It's built well - very sturdy - and has held up really well. The bristles are very soft and mold to reach all the nooks and crannies of the bottles. The tip of the other end can get up into the ends of the nipples to clean them out as well. Is it wrong that I feel funny using the word nipple in a review? :-)

Anyway, the brush works so well my wife asked me to buy another one for her to take to work. She uses it there to clean the breast pump machine and supplies when she pumps at the office.

We're happy with the performance so far - if anything changes I will make an update...

5.0 out of 5 stars I tossed all others!, February 27, 2009

This is simply the best bottle brush I have found- period. It doesn't have that foam stuff that gets germy and falls apart. additionally, it is easy to use and easy to clean. The only thing I wish was done a little differently is the end of the handle of the brush. It has some texture to it to supposedly clean the nipple of a bottle, but I find that it doesn't work so well for that. I end up using a nipple brush to get those really clean and wish that the textured end of the brush had bristles or something else. Even with that said, it is still better than the other brushes I have found.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Indispensible Convenience, June 4, 2007
This brush works very well with Avent (or any other brand) baby bottles. The bristle end is sized well for both the 4- and 9-oz. sizes, but the real plus is the handle end. It has hard ribbed plastic that will clear out the interior of the nipples themselves without damaging them. So, the next time you find a hard clump of formula powder clogging a nipple, this brush will save you from having to simply throw it away.

Much better suited to this daily task than any general purpose dish or bottle brush, the Avent is definitely worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cleaning Kongs!, November 15, 2011

This review is from: Philips AVENT BPA-Free Bottle Brush (Health and Beauty)
I'm sorry to do this to all the loving parents cleaning their children's bottles with this brush, but after reading a few reviews on various brushes and just kinda eyeballing this one, I took a chance and bought it. I was tired of figuring out ways to clean our dog's Kong (large red). He gets peanut butter in it when he goes to bed in his crate (so a sorta bottle) and it would get stuck along the ridges inside. I tried being creative with various utensils in the kitchen but was never quite successful at getting all the PB out.
When I first looked at this brush after opening the package I thought there was no way it was going to fit, but after closer examination I thought, well just maybe it will - the family was divided on the issue. But lo and behold, it does fit through the bottom hole, and with soap and water it goes in quite easily - and is an excellent size and shape for cleaning - the brush part is compressed going through the hole but expands again to fit nicely inside. Swish it around a few times, rinse, and you have a nice clean Kong!
Note: We only use our Kong with peanut butter and do not use hard treats such as biscuits, so I can't speak if it would work with things such as that (maybe soften with hot water?).
Anyway, I'm happy. Not sure about the dog - probably ruined it for him

First, the nipple cleaner component isn't all that useful -- you'll probably want to buy a separate nipple brush, especially if you also want a smaller scrubber to clean breast pump parts. Second, it would be nice if the brush had a stand. That being said, it does the job and is easier to keep clean than the sponge brushes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why couldn't I have found you sooner my love?, May 6, 2011
This review is from: Philips AVENT BPA-Free Bottle Brush (Health and Beauty)
So, some worthwhile good advice? I say try this brush. We use first years breastflow bottles with soothie nipple, one tiny wal mart bottle and the rest are playtex ventaire which I love. This brush works well on ALL the parts, and if you've used ventaire you know you have 4 things to wash with each bottle. The thing with this advent brush is the brush itself is REALLY nice and sturdy, no flimsy crap there and weirdly the end is twisted with ridges for nipple cleaning, when I first saw it I was very much hesitant to think anything without bristles would clean nipples, but this thing works. Please, I've bought SO MANY DAMN Brushes!! Just save time and buy the advent one. IT's WELL MADE and so much less stress, I think it actually helps me clean faster too.
I also think it produces more suds when scrubbing. Seriously, I like this brush, it would be 6 stars if you could stand it upright somehow, but I'm looking into a decorative way of keeping it on the counter. A lot of people wont care though and even if you do, please just try this brush anyway, you'll convert like the rest of us!

I love this bottle brush. I use it to clean Dr. Brown bottles (and nipples), Avent sippy cups, my cheese grater, deep drinking cups, and my plastic and metal colanders/strainers. No complaints.
