I don't often write reviews, but I love this pump so much, I had to share my positive experience. After looking online at several pumps, I finally decided to purchase this model after reading mostly positive reviews about it. I am SO glad I did!

I had a manual hand pump and it would literally take me days to pump 4 oz of milk. With this pump I can get 4 oz or more in one or two very short pumping sessions! Fabulous!

The "petals" in the cushion really work to stimulate let down. I find that I can even pump after my baby has eaten her fill and this pump will often prompt a second let down! Plus, the motor is so quiet I can pump next to my sleeping baby, which can help let down as well.

Honestly, I was scared to buy an electric pump because I had heard that the powerful suction made them painful to use. I am pleased to report that this pump does not hurt at all. You can set the suction and speed to your personal preference, which is super handy. You simply pump in a way that is comfortable and effective for you, press the button to switch to electric mode, and voila! You can change up the pumping style as often as you want with no hassle.

It is easier to clean than my other pump and is so simple to assemble. It includes a wall outlet cord or you can use batteries to power it. It also includes parts to convert it to a manual pump so you can use it on the go or when power is not available.

The only negative comment would be that sometimes milk flows back under the "petal" cushion, but I have never had a problem with it leaking while I am pumping and making a mess. You just rinse it away when you clean the pump, so it is not horribly bothersome in my opinion.

All in all, this is a fabulous pump, especially for the price! I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick, easy, painless way to pump!

This is the best breast pump I have ever used! The one that I used with my first child was a cheaper, but well known brand, and it was painfull and hard to clean. The best feature of this pump is that it has NO tubing to get milk backed up into. Also, the massage cushions help to ease some of strain from suction. I have been very successful at using this at work. It is quiet and easy to store. I carry it to and from work in a small diaper bag with enough room for bottles and ice packs. This product is well worth the price. I am glad that I chose it over pricier brands.

I received a hand-me down Medela pump in style from a relative and was very happy with it, but needed a more portable pump for "emergencies" and when I was out places where I couldn't find a discreet place with an electrical outlet (the manual pump that came with the pump in style I got was broken).

I purchased this pump because I liked that it could work via an AC adapter, battery pack, or manually. The pump works well, but I don't get as much milk as with the pump in style, and it takes much longer (even longer than if I pump each side individually with my pump in style). It is quieter than the Medela pump and I like that there are no tubes, which makes it easier to clean.

very easy to use and even though it is compact, it works like magic and cuts expressing time by half

My Baby is now 8 months and I have used this pump since birth. In the hospital I used hospital grade medela a couple of times and it was painful to my breast, and the amount of expressed milk was so low. beside, I found that one of my breasts has less milk and requires longer expression time.
Avent single is a life saver:
it is very gentle to te breast (I never had a sore),
it is very light (easily portable to work) and
really quiet (I can pump in the same room with my sleeping baby)

I have fed my baby exclusively on breast milk, and therefore pumped 3 times/day when until he was 6 months and with this pump I was expressing generally 9-10 bottles of 4 ounce each day. at 8 months since my baby starting eating solids, I am pumping only 2 times a day (morning and afternoon) and expressing 8-9 bottles of 4 ounces a day. of course it requires a little more time than doubles (30-45 min) but expressing 3 times a day makes it up... I read some reviews stating that this pump is not for everyday use, and IT IS NOT TRUE. my baby never latched so I have used this pump exclusively for the past 8 months.

I'm a first time mother and this is my best product I could have purchased for me and my baby.

I bought this for my daughter when she was having difficulty pumping enough milk with the Madela. She began getting 3 ounces more each time she pumped and it was a more comfortable pump as well. This pump saved her having to supplement with formula and she was able to use the bottles (Avent) she received as a shower gift as well!I was surprised to find it for less at Target after I ordered it here, but the free shipping saved me driving 2 hours to deliver! Now it's all Avent, she's happy,Daddy's happy, Grandbaby's happy, and I can relax...for the moment!

I bought this breastpump and was totally unhappy with $140 that I just spent. I was trying and trying to get only 0.5 oz of milk, pumping for like 40 minutes. Then I read in the directions that some women prefere not to use a plastic thing that touches the breast (it should do a massage or something like that), I removed it and the breastpump started pumping the milk so fast and so naturally!!! If u have a problem using this breastpump- just remove that plastic thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love this breastpump, I don't need to do anything except holding it!!!)))

I purchased this pump with for my second baby.Philips Avent Isis iQ UNO The motor on the pump broke the first time I used it. I contacted the company three days after the purchase date thinking they would send me a replacement motor or at least a new pump. They told me it would take 2 days to process and then they would call me. After 2 days I had no response so I called them again and they told me it would take another 2 days to make a "decision" on what to do. DECISION?? I payed $150 for a pump that doesn't work!!!! What kind of decision besides sending me a new one can they have to make? Meanwhile I am stuck with a broken pump and still have not received a response from them. Early motherhood is a hard enough time without stressing and waiting on hold and for a response from this company. Shame on them.

We purchased this BP based on favorable reviews and dislike of other brands we tried. The product works quite well and we are very satisfied with it. It needs a couple of design 'tweaks' but in terms of doing what its supposed to do - it works great.

PROS: Does what its designed to do very well. Memory function is nice.

CONS: Top heavy, it needs a real stand or base so you can set it down when you take a break - otherwise it tips over. Operation of the memory, manual handle and flashing lights takes a little careful reading to understand fully.

We first purchased manual pump, but later decided to purchase this one. Is easier to operate, good for hand, but takes longer to express milk. The plus point is it express more milk than manual, may be because of longer time (half hour Vs 10 minutes for manual).

I wish I would have purchased duo electrical pump in start. If you are planning to use it regularly, time saved by duo must be really worth it. If time is not a consideration, than this is the best pump I can think of.
