A little disappointed but still a good product,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips AVENT Tempo Nurser, 4 Ounce (Baby Product)
I used Avent with my two older kids and was very excited when I heard they were coming out with a disposable system which worked with the bottles (the old system had color coded nipples that you had to match to the nurser or bottle and they weren't interchangeable.)The biggest selling points of this new system is that if you are already using avent bottles or were planning on it you can add these nursers without keeping two sets of nipples. Everything that you love about the Avent bottles holds true with the nursers. You can pump directly into them and that's a big plus. Here are the major drawbacks: 1. The nurser base is very wide. I have small hands and found the nursers to be very cumbersome and they didn't feel natural to hold during feedings. The nursers are a lot wider than the bottles, if you've used the old version of the nursers you'll also notice how much larger this new design is. My husband who has much larger hands than me said that he liked the wider bottle and it didn't seems as easy to drop and felt more natural to him. 2. You can't use other brands of liners. I pump & store my milk, and I've found that the bags are just TOO narrow to fit this bottle (Playtex & Lansinoh). You are either going to have to pump directly into this liner or you'll have to transfer milk (which for me defeated the whole point, since I use Lansinoh to store milk flat in the freezer!) 3. This bottle won't take the Playtex Drop Ins either, they are MUCH smaller than the Avent brand. If you can't find the Avent liners easily in your area you'll be stuck ordering online. All in all, I think this is a good product if you are willing to deal with the issues I've stated. I used Avent with my older children and I SWEAR by their system however this product just wasn't for me. For all of the trouble I had with it, it just made more sense in my situation not to use them. For now I will keep using my Avent bottles. I might try the Playtex disposable system however I have learned that their system doesn't have as many silicone nipple options as Avent (Playtex currently makes: Slow, Fast & Variable Flow vs. Avent: Slow, Medium, Medium-Fast, Fast & Variable)

LOVE these - wish they had them 3yrs ago!,
This review is from: Philips AVENT Tempo Nurser, 4 Ounce (Baby Product)
I used regular Avent bottles with my son (now 3yrs old) and loved them so when I saw these in a magazine while I was pregnant with my daughter I was so excited! But my daughter couldnt take Avent bottles when she was born due to medical issues (she had to have preemie size or really short nipples or would gag on them), I was bummed. Well, after being fed up with problems from the other brand bottles we had to use, I decided to try Avent again (now that she's 7 months and also has had surgery to correct her problems) and she can take them now! I was so excited I went out and bought these Avent Tempo Nursers the very next day.....and I absolutely LOVE them!PROS: *I can have just a few bottles with a bunch of nipples since they have disposable liners (less dishes is a big plus with two kids, lol), I went from 12 of our other bottles down to just 4 of these with some extra nipples- huge space saver! *I know she isnt getting any air since I can squeeze the liner to let it out. *The inner locking ring is great to keep the liner in place (I have tried playtex nursers and the liners often fell when squeezing out air making a huge mess) *I can switch between these and the few regular Avent bottles I already had if I want to because they use the same nipples. CONS: (which arent really a big deal, but worth stating) *Not many stores carry these yet. The only store that carries them near me is 40min away so when they are out of liners I am out of luck, but I have a few regular bottles I can use and I do go to that area a lot so for me its still worth it, but for others it might not be. The pros far outweigh the cons for me, I definately recommend these bottles if you like/are looking for the disposable liner kind! I am so happy to be able to use the AVENT system again. They might be a little more pricey than other brands, but it is definately worth it (believe me I had to try every bottle there is with my daughter in the beggining and wasted so much money on crappy bottles!). I only wish they had these 3 yrs ago when I had my son :)

Nicer than Other Systems,
By
This review is from: Philips AVENT Tempo Nurser, 4 Ounce (Baby Product)
This system has solved many of the bugs of the old version of disposable bottle. I love the drop in liners for quickie bottles. I hated fighting with the rolls of bags the old system used. The nipples go back and forth to work with a non disposable version. I rarely desire to use those normal avent bottles now that the Tempo is so easy to put together and use.Like others have mentioned this style is not easily found. Ordering liners online may be easier sometimes than messing with hunting them down.
