I found out about this product a few years ago by a plastic surgeon that I went to for a consultation about my invertated nipple. I am using this product for cosmetic reasons only. I obviously hope for breast-feeding to be easier when that time comes. I started wearing these in July and recently stopped at the end of November so it's been at least 4 months of consistent wearing 6-8 hours a day most days of the week.
So... was there improvement? Definitely. Dramatic? No. They are still...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, April 8, 2009
This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
I found out about this product a few years ago by a plastic surgeon that I went to for a consultation about my invertated nipple. I was told by this surgeon to try the Niplette before I try any procedure because he had customers that found success with it. I left his office and kept the idea of the Niplette in the back of my mind. I didn't buy the Niplette right away because at the time, I was married and my husband didn't mind it. When I got divorced I made the decision to buy it and try it out. What a revalation! I wished that I had bought it the day I found out about it. It is so simple to use and I saw results after 3 days of using it. I am extremely pleased with this product and recommend it to anyone that has an inverted nipple. I had little to no discomfort. I used it at night and also when I went to work. The only thing that I would recommend is using a bra with a thicker pad to mask the bulge of the Niplette. This is a great product and it is definatly worth buying!!! 5 stars all the way.

4.0 out of 5 stars breastfeeding help, August 24, 2009
This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
My nipples are flat and I couldn't breastfeed my firstborn, I pumped and bottle fed for 12 months instead. The medela nipple shields didn't do anything to help either. We are now TTC our second child and I don't want to go through that again. I have only been using this product for a week or so but have already noticed improvement. I am hoping to correct the problem permanently in a few months. I gave this product a 4 star because it's hard to keep the nipplette on, it falls off with a bra or shirt over the top. I discovered that if I use lubricating jelly the attachment/suction is much better. I also discovered that if I wear the "medela breast shells for inverted nipples" over the nipplette, it stays in place much better. You can see that something is underneath my shirt though, so I only wear it at home. I will probably do another review if this product helps me to breast feed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works - ends the embarrassment for me, September 11, 2011

This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
I have had inverted nipples for over 40 years - always embarrassed, hard to feel comfortable starting physical relationship, had just decided to get plastic surgery, saw reference to this and said what the hell - it's cheap and might work. I saw results in two days and now after three weeks, the nipples will stay out or will get pebbled if touched - I never thought it would happen. Think all gynos should recommend this - unless you have inverted nipples you have no idea what a psychological hindrance it is. There was some pain and sensitivity discomfort at start, but gets better. No idea if permanent, but girls I don't care - just stick on periodically for tune-up :-). Good luck - hope it makes you "perky" as well.

I first saw this product on "The Doctors." I've been using this product for almost a month now and I can tell you it works. I needed this when I was trying to breast feed my daughter 30 years ago. I have always been bothered by my inverted nipples. I felt they were unattractive to my husband. I am using this now as a cosmetic correction.

One thing you must remember when using this product is to use the nipple cream - I just bought some at the drug store. It is lanolin and helps to keep the niplettes attached. Without the cream you will have trouble keeping them in place and it prevents soreness. I tried wearing them at night but found it bothered my sleep. I bought some breast pads (2 come with the kit) and I wear them in the daytime even to work. One nipple is always out of hiding and the other is slowly staying out for longer periods of time after I remove the niplettes. I am sure that by the time I have worn them for the specified time I will be well pleased with the results.

4.0 out of 5 stars buy this product if you want to fix inverted nipples, October 3, 2010

I highly recommend this product for anyone that wants to fix inverted nipples. This is the only product out there that does exactly what promises. I was skeptical at first but i saw a difference the first week after using this product. My nipples are now normal after only three weeks of using this product and i no longer need to use it. Am very satisfied.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Now Have Confidence in Correction!, June 16, 2009

I have to admit, I was wary of using this product. Not only was I afraid that it would hurt, but I was also very skeptical that suction could treat my severely inverted nipple. I was willing to give it a shot, since the niplette is significantly cheaper than plastic surgery (which is not even guaranteed to correct all inverted nipple problems). My nipple is so inverted that I had never even seen it before using this product! This product is 100% painless, as long as you stop sucking the nipple out if/when it starts feeling uncomfortable (common sense). Safe to use every night though I'm having trouble keeping it on while I'm sleeping.. I may purchase the lubricant they suggest that is meant to keep it in place better (I don't like the idea of wearing a bra to bed). I think it will take some time before my nipple is out all the time (it goes right back in when I take the niplette off and I've been using it for 2+ weeks now). I am seeing improvement, however, since my nipple tissue has been stretched. The nipple has been staying out longer (by a couple minutes) after removing the niplette. I am confident that my problem will eventually be fixed, and that the niplette will stretch my nipple tissue enough to allow the nipple to stay out on its own. I'm sure the niplette works faster for less severe inversions. I think it's worth the money. I am only rating it 4 stars since I have yet to see the nipple out on its own, but then again I haven't even been using it for a month yet so we'll see.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I heard about it sooner, December 8, 2011
This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
I'm so happy I got this product. I always wondered if I would be a dissapointment because of my nipples and I didn't know there was something that could be done without surgery. I wore it all the time. And I've seen such good results. At first there was discharge etc like they warned but now they are comfortable to me. I did get the breast shields and I use those with them. They help them stay on and make it more comfortable. The trick I use is to detach and thread the little tubing part through one of the holes in the breast shields and reatach it to the cup. Then I put the whole thing on. Under a bra they stay put and are not as uncomfortable with the hard plastic. I would say be patient and wear them as much as you can. They say 8 hours is a decent wear time in the instruction but there is nothing that says you can't wear them longer. It even alludes to that a little. I'm so glad I got this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Going good so far!, May 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
I started using the niplettes about a month ago and am extremely satisfied with my progress so far. My nipples are inverted and very small in diameter (I've been told several times that they look like 'mosquito bites'), so my hopes were that they would become wider too, which didn't happen. That's okay though because they are definately not inverted anymore. And an unexpected perk is that they are more sensitive now. I started using the niplettes because I want to have a baby soon, but the cosmetic change has given me tons more confidence. And for some reason I am happier now with the overall shape and size of my breasts. The only drawbacks would be that they are hard to keep in place if you are not wearing a tight, padded bra (at least with my A-cup size). A padded bra is a must to keep the niplette concealed as it is about as big and rigid as a thimble. I got some water in the tubing of one of them while washing, and I can't get it out even when using the plunger to push it out, so be careful to cover the end of the tube when washing. Also, I try to apply a little more suction to the nipple in the middle of the day as they are less sensitive at that point than when you first put the nipplettes on. It took a while to find the perfect amount of vaseline to use - too little and you don't get a good suction seal, too much and the niplette will slide around in your bra and eventually pop off. It took about a week to get to where I could where them all day without having to constantly check and adjust. This is totally worth it though. I'm actually very upset that after all the breast exams I've haven since my teenage years, not one doctor ever recommended this product. Good luck ladies!

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh, the joy, March 22, 2011
This review is from: Philips AVENT Twin Pack Nipplette (Baby Product)
I happened upon Nipplette while serching for information on women's health. I had inverted nipples my whole life, until one recently popped out after training for a half marathon, leaving me looking like a padiddle. I read reviews available on multiple websites and decided to take the plunge. I've been using it for about 2 months and my nipple is consistently out. The process required trial and error, despite all of the wonderful advice in the reviews. I eventually found that using a lubricant like KY jelly and taping with latex-free first-aid tape was the best combination. I experienced some discomfort with irritation and redness for a few days - my nipple was perfectly content to be inverted and did not seem to like being in the world - but this passed. I've graduated to wearing Nipplette once a week, and this appears adequate. I don't have sufficient time in the post-verting stage to determine if this is a permanent fix, but I am very pleased with the results so far.
