Fool your guests easily with these neat LED candles,
This review is from: Philips Aurelle 13676-2 LED Rechargeable Candle, Round (Lawn & Patio)
I bought 3 candles for my father-who-has-everything. He is not getting any younger and the last thing I want to worry about is candles burning down...and burning down the house.
The box each candle came in was a simple cube. The out-of-the-box experience was great and I easily set up and charged all three lamps with one AC Adapter. My Dad figured out how to turn them on without reading the manual. The flickering is very, very natural looking. In all a great value for the piece of mind it brings. My Dad was really impressed when he moved the lamp unit to one of his favorite candle holders... He dropped in the Aurelle unit and viola! making for instant (safe) light in almost any fixture designed for votive candles.

Flickering bulb very real candle-like. Nice variety of shapes. Can recharge multiple candles at once. Wish the candles were larger in size.

I put this product into immediate use upon receipt and it has been operating as described ever since. Looks very realistic and is pleasing to look at. Very satisfied with this purchase.

light is too orange,

This review is from: Philips Aurelle 13676-2 LED Rechargeable Candle, Round (Lawn & Patio)
I am so disappointed by the color of the light this gives! The flickering and the glow are nice, but are completely ruined by the horrible greenish orange color of the light. It reminds me of terrible flourescent lighting, like the utilitarian street lamps you see all over the NJ suburbs. It really looks nothing like the lovely white glow in the pictures on amazon and the Philips website.

This could have been so cool . . .,

I purchased this candle because of the Philips name. The candle flickering effect is good, but the color of light that it produces is all wrong. The light is too yellow. The candle light to me does not look like the advertised picture regardless of the ambient lighting situation in which the candle is placed. Philips really missed it on this one. The fake candle light bulbs that have been around for years and years which you can buy at Home Depot are more realistic. I hope that Philps fixes this problem in version 2.0. I plan on opening the candle up this weekend in hopes that I can change the tint of the material used to color the light. On a positive note, the battery seems to meet or exceed the advertised run time.

Romance is Back,
This review is from: Philips Aurelle 13676-2 LED Rechargeable Candle, Round (Lawn & Patio)
Imagine how romantic a mood could be spoiled with 2 overhead fans going and a husband dripping sweat over a nice meal that took hours to prepare, certainly there is no room in this scenario for candles. Enter this lovely rechargeable candle that has reintroduced the romance in our evening dining. We have found these candles to be trouble free, with an innovative design that recharges multiple units at once, and the charge lasts much longer than expected. As far as the color, it looks flame-colored to me! My husband even turns them on and recharges them (after years of sour looks when he saw me go near a candle at dinner time).

Pretty Cool. Nice Flameless Ambiance,

I bought this on a lark to add the ambiance of a flickering candle to my bedside and it does the job in an environment with home oxygen where real honest-to-goodness flames are not allowed.
It was sort of a pain charging it like *every day* so it has been relegated to the growing pile of things I've purchased to collect dust in a drawer. It's nice though if you'd like to bathe your home in electronic candlelight. I haven't yet garage sale'd it.

Now, even though we have an energetic little kid in the house, we can have soft glowing candles around!
Yay! I can have my ambiance back! I even lit one the other night to fall asleep by. I bought them as gifts. I'm keeping them for myself. The little brights leave a nice glow and are safe and easy. Boots

Novelty that isn't worth the money,

They are pretty, have a nice effect, and work well. The price truely wasn't worth it though. The charging cord is nice in that it has a magnet to make it easy to quickly charge the base, but you have to take the base out of the candle holder, and it is too easy to accidentally connect the charger backwards. It still lights up and everything but you haved to realize(or read manual to find out) that red is backwards and green flashing is charging.
