5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME product! Don't but anything else...
If you are using the Avent products, this is the ultimate solution for storing breastmilk. Here's why I love them:
You can pump right into the container (if you use a Medela pump you need to buy a $10 avent adapter, available online, otherwise you pump into the containers that came with your pump and then transfer the milk). The containers come pre-sterilized, so...

3.0 out of 5 stars They're great for storage but kinda of a pain for feeding
These bottles are great for storage, I like that the tops twist tight for a no leak seal, but they are a pain to feed from. The attachments make the bottle so big! And I don't like that there is only one adapter with the set, I was constantly sterilizing it and finally gave up and just used the Avent bottles.

The containers come pre-sterilized, so you take one out of the box, hook it up to the pump, and fill it up. Then you put the lid on, label, and freeze (or refridgerate). When you're ready to feed baby, you take the lid off and put on the included converter, which attaches these containters to any avent nipple! The containers are like Tupperware: reuseable, washable, easily stackable, tip-resistant, and cute. Oh, best of all, these are less expensive than using bottles or breast milk containers, and much easier to deal with than the bags. The Medela containers tip easily and do not stack, making them a bit of a pain. If you are using Avent, these are a wonderful product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to store, easy to clean, April 15, 2008
This review is from: Avent 8 oz. Nurser (Baby Product)
I received this kit as a shower gift, and the via is definitely my favorite bottle. They are great for tossing into the diaper bag - I usually use the adapter with one bottle and then put extra formula in a second. They occasionally leak while mixing, but only when the lid or adapter is on crooked or the bottle is over-filled, both of which are easy to solve and have not happened any more frequently with these than any other bottle I've used. I've never had a problem with it leaking in the bag, even after tipping over. I'm also using them to store baby food. I like that they are marked off in ounces and milliliters (unlike many other freezer containers of comparable size) so I know how much food is in each container. I like that they can stack. But the thing I like most (and the reason I give 5 stars) is that the shape/design is wonderful. They are SOOO easy to clean. Unlike every other bottle I've ever seen, I can actually get my hand/sponge/washrag inside and scrub it just like any other cup.

4.0 out of 5 stars Avent's only BPA Free bottle!!, April 8, 2008
This review is from: Avent 8 oz. Nurser (Baby Product)
I love this product because they are the only Avent "bottle" that are BPA free!! I love the Avent nipples since they are more natural shaped and my son switches from breast to these easily. I refuse to use any of Avents regular bottles since they are very high in BPA. So these are great! I can pump directly into them and then attach the nipple and not have to worry about poisoning my son. I wish they had more BPA free bottles that are not disposable but I am just happy they at least have these.

This product LOOKS very practical, but it is SOOOO not. The milk leaks out when the container is heated either from the adaptor or from the nipple attachment. I contacted avent about this problem and it turns out you are not supposed to use the same nipples for the nurser that you use for the avent bottles because they don't fit. Who has time to go thru nipples and separate them out when they look EXACTLY the same. Waste of money if you ask me. Stick with the bottles for storing milk, they worked much better for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars just okay, July 20, 2008

I bought this product with the hopes of making the whole process easier. It is great that you can pump directly into the pre sterilized cup, put a lid on it, label it then put it away for future use. If you are going to use it soon and just put it in the fridge it works great. I have not had any problems with it leaking. My biggest complaint is that it takes about 45 minutes to defrost the frozen milk in the cup. If you know that you will need it ahead of time, you can put it in the fridge overnight to defrost which is the best thing to do. But for me, I usually don't know that far ahead if I will need a bottle, so I am going back to the freezer bags. Hope this helps in your decision!
