I strongly advise against buying the Philips CD-155 DECT 6.0 phone. The sound quality is so bad I can barely hear it at full volume. There's also a delay between key press and confirmation tone. Sounds like a minor detail, but it slows my dialing and I find it extremely irritating. Six weeks after buying the three-handset model (not from Amazon), I've replaced it with a...

I strongly advise against buying the Philips CD-155 DECT 6.0 phone. The sound quality is so bad I can barely hear it at full volume. There's also a delay between key press and confirmation tone. Sounds like a minor detail, but it slows my dialing and I find it extremely irritating. Six weeks after buying the three-handset model (not from Amazon), I've replaced it with a Panasonic KX-TG1033 (from Amazon). What an improvement!

I purchased this phone before I read these reviews and I thought I don't know if I want this phone.But after using this phone. This is a very nice phone no problem being heard or hearing the other person,no problem understanding the manual,every thing on my phone works as good as I hope for. I think this a good purchase for the price under $35.00 for two phones with speaker and answering machine. If you are looking for good basic phone this is it.

I have this phone the poblems: Battery life terible, delay in keypad button sounds will drive you crazy,trying to increase the volume above level 3? for get about it, it will not go higher audio way too low,user friendly programming? forget about it, ring tones ? lousy yes indeed. Unfortunately its going into the dump what a waste of good money.If your thinking about buying one don't you can have mine

Wish I had done more research prior to purchase. I bought a 3 handset bundle. Sound quality is atrocious, both in volume and clarity for all handsets. At full volume caller on the other end is not loud enough or clear enough to understand. This is land line to land line calls. My cell phone to the same numbers is of much better sound quality (volume and clarity). My Skype calls through my PC, using the same router and communications line are much louder and clearer. I would not use this product if it was given to me for free.
