Product Description

Philips CrystalVision was already the upgrade bulb that came closest to the bright blue/white look of HID. Now, improved technology makes CrystalVision Ultra even whiter and brighter, and even closer to the look of HID. CrystalVision Ultra delivers the whitest light available from a halogen bulb. At a color temperature of up to 4,000K, no halogen is whiter. If you want the look of HID, CrystalVision Ultra is the light for you!

Brilliant blue/white HID look from a halogen bulb
For Crystal-Clear Vision at Night

OE Xenon-powered halogens give drivers more increased light output for much better visibility of road signs and hazards. Be safer on the road during night driving conditions with an increased visibility that lets you see potential hazards sooner.

Street Legal HID Look

CrystalVision bulbs are DOT-compliant, meaning they are street legal--unlike some HID conversion kits. Get the look of HID without buying a kit, all with no wiring and no expensive install. The blue-capped bulb creates a distinctive blue reflection, with a brilliant blue/white look of HID at a 4,000K color temperature, making CrystalVision Ultra the whitest halogen you can buy.

Easy to Install

CrystalVision Ultra is easy to install, as it simply replaces the current bulbs in your car. CrystalVision Ultra bulbs are available in the most popular bulb applications, including 880, 893, H1, H3, H7, H11, 9003, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, and 9008.

Customer Reviews

Great lights, very bright, good visual and nice color of white and a tint of blue.
DisneyXtreme
These bulbs have made a significant improvement over the stock halogens as they are much whiter and seemingly brighter.

The two lights are burned less than 4 months after installation....my originals lasted over 10 years.

Everything turn out as expected. I shall see how long these bulbs last. I posted these photos because some people were saying the light is still yellow. If these is yellow I don't see it, the light looks much much whiter :o)

I needed to replace the headlights on my 2003 Subaru Outback, and decided to give these bulbs a try seeing as they claimed to be white(r) than stock. Read ahead for a (in my mind) fair review.

PROS
- Coming from my car's stock, these are bright and very white
- Relatively durable
- DOT Compliant
- Not blue

CONS
- Don't last long enough for money spent

COLOR
Personally, I dislike the blue tinted HID headlights. When in the car, I find them very distracting and I just don't like the color tint. These CrystalVisions do not have a blue tint, and while they are definitely not HID, they aren't yellow either! When reading reviews where people say that they aren't different from their stock headlights, it is important to note that they might be comparing it to the stock bulbs, and some manufacturers have whiter stock bulbs than others. I know that my 2003 Subaru Outback had yellowish bulbs, and in comparison these are much whiter. It all depends on what came stock with your car!

DURABILITY
This is my one complaint. These didn't last very long...maybe a few months at the most. I installed them properly, using new mechanic gloves to avoid getting oils on the bulb. Several months later, you guessed it, I was opening up the hood again to replace the first. I decided to go with a more expensive but reportedly longer lasting bulb, and so far no problems. If these had lasted 6 months, I probably would buy them again at the current price of just over $20...but at this point I am sticking with the other brand I found!

OVERALL
You might get lucky, I have read reviews of these lasting upwards of 9-10 months, but I wonder how often these people drive at night. I'm not recommending these if you don't want to spend $120 on headlights a year!

Although i didn't buy my first set from Amazon. These bulbs are brighter than the stock bulbs that came with my 2002 Acura RSX. They lasted about 35,000 miles before one burned out. I believe this is more than your Osram/Sylvania average. The bulbs are tinted blue which gives the headlamp similar to the color of HIDs but definitely not the same output/volume of light. You simply can't get the same amount of output without converting from a halogen system to HIDs. I recommend you try these if you want better light output then what originally (OEM) came with the vehicle.

Note: This is not 35,000 miles of night time driving. Just racked up 35,000 miles after installation.

Update 11/28/12
My second set from Amazon, I had one bulb burn out after 15,000 miles. Installed in March of 2011 and died in November of 2012. Guess there are consistency issues here.

I purchased these to replace my OEM H11 halogens on my 09 Subaru Forester. These lights are truly white and are a vast improvement over the OEM yellowish lights. I now see the whole road clearly and can also see further down the road. The lights have an even beam and have a slight hint of blue which does give it that HID look. After considering the HID conversion, I found that converting would also mean getting the correct HID projector in order for the HID bulb to reflect the light evenly and correct. Too much money to convert to HID the right way. This is the best option and it really enhances the look of the headlight. It's a great alternative if you don't want to spend too much money and still get a quality bulb.

Wanted HID headlights for my 2.5 Altima but after reading numerous reviews of how dangerous and in-effective the cheap Chinese kits are without the proper housing I decided to go with these.

The color is great! It's not as white as Acura or Lexus HID's but darn close. Much brighter than oem bulbs and they have a very wide spread and exact cutoff in the distance. I still have the stock oem bulbs in my fog lights and these make them look orange/yellow.

Please people do your research before putting a HID kit in a halogen housing. Your lights may have the nice blue/white color but your beam is very narrow and does not have a consistent cutoff point. They look cool but you lose what you can see to the sides and blind oncoming traffic.

Give these a shot instead, plug and play and they look great.

The bulb colour is approximately the advertised 4000K. It's certainly not that bright HID white; you'll want to go to the Diamondvision 5000K bulbs for that. Still, if you want a nice, natural 4000K bulb, this is a good buy. The price is right, and they haven't failed in the 2 months I've had them. Hardly an indication of how long it'll last, but it ought to be better than the Sylvania's. I feel like the throw has increased when I drive at night, and can now clearly see where the left beam is shorter than the right beam (as it should be). For anybody wondering, the bulbs have a slight blue tint to them.
