Just like previous reviewers said - my Philips DVP3040 can't play an entire DVD without stopping, sputtering or slowing to a complete halt. Do not waste your money.

I had the same problem as the reviewer above. Huge skipping issues, even on brand new DVDs, not too long after purchase. The thing does look terribly cheaply put together.

This player has tons of cool features but started having problems reading tracks on DVDs after a month until it wouldn't even work on brand new movies. It was the second cheapest player as Best Buy but I guess you get what you pay far. Save your receipt.
