Man. Waste of money, twice.,

This CD player breaks very easily. The first time I had it, it didn't last a week. It fell on the floor (falling 12 inches from the ground) and it wouldn't play after that. The second time (I exchanged it), the clasp fell off so the CD player wouldn't close. Worse yet (within 90 days) they wouldn't give me my money back after replacing it twice. I had to get a new SONY... and it's much better than the Philips. This is my last time buying the CD player... well of course it is... they discontinued it. Oh yeah... some MP3 songs wouldn't play the whole way through which was not cool.

Solid Player,

Haven't figured out the quirks of this player yet. Really deserves 4.5 stars. Sound quality at least out of the box is excellent. I'm hearing some things that I haven't heard before with my other player, an old Sony. Bass boost is two level, plenty enough with the second boost. The headphones that it comes with are actually pretty decent. Nice, cushy, and so far haven't fallen off my head, but still could be better. Battery casing is kinda weird....it can run on AAA, AA, R03, UM4 type batteries, so there are two lids for it. But this shouldn't really matter since you'll be only using one type of battery anyway.
I didn't give 5 stars for the current reasons. It does make a bit of noise when you skip or go back tracks, and sometimes you have to push the buttons down with a bit of force. Not a lot of force mind you. I think it just a matter of finding the right place. "Jog-proofness" seem pretty good so far. Rapid shaking showed no skipping. The player is lightweight too, making it easy to carry or for the real test, to skate with. It will be interesting to see if it handle the shock of some jumps during skating. I am thus far very pleased with my purchase. Things that it could use are a remote, clip, or strap. But those can be purchased as accessories.

Im 15 And I hve had it for about 8 months and its incredilbe. It holds About 24 albums with Incredible Sound Quality It's very loud and the BASS is great. It has 2 levels of Bass. Very durable,So Durable I Purposly Just Dropped Of my desk(I swear to God that I did) Ive Dropped it many Times but Usualy not on purpose. It Feel villantly out of my hand (while I was running)one time at scool and the only thing that Happend Was the
Batteries Fell out, no scratches at all. THE OLNY CON: is short battery life So YOU SHOULD GET RECARGABLE BATTERIES LIKE I DID. YOU SHOULD USE 64KBPS WHEN YOU DO IT INSTEAD OF 128KBPS FOR MOR SPACE. HINT: Look for Reviews who have had it longer to see if it can last the test of time for all iteams at amazon. Please: Next time you right a review(for any iteam) put how long you've had it.

good for a year..,

This is a REALLY good item for a year. It worked really good, good mp3 player and playing cds. After a year of having this item. It broke. If you click any button the cd plays, then you click another button and it stops. So you couldn't put it to the next song, put the volume up. Pretty much you couldn't do anything. When you don't have a cd in it and you didn't turn it on, it trys to play. I put new batteries new cds, nothing worked.

Stop looking at the iPod and save your money. This CD-MP3 player is cool. It will play your songs and won't take a lot of flow out of your pocket!

Well, I got this MP3-CD player thinking it wasnt gonna last but under 1 yr but I was soon prooven wrong. I have dropped this thing from a 2nd floor window and it still works like new.
Its been dropped and broken into 4 peices and the thing still functions like it did when I bought it. Its amazing. I rate this product 5 stars for its durability, Features and compact design.

I recently picked up this player on clearance at $44.95 at The Good Guys. At this price, it's a steal -- typically you won't find these kinds of features in a player like this for under $75. Really, all it lacks is a remote (which some people go crazy for, but I can just as well do without). Also, I took one star off for the fact that the volume doesn't go very high -- this is common for these types of players, so it came as no surprise, but still disappointing... not sure what I'll do when riding the bus. Also, the lid seems just a bit loose and construction quality isn't A+. Another "Made in China" player. On the plus side, disc contents are indexed in about one second, even with a CD full of MP3's -- my old AVC Soul player took what, 10 seconds at least! Very fast indexing, nice display readout, and even in "power savings" mode it seems the player doesn't skip easily. Sound quality is very good, and the included headphones are workable (although I recommend a nice pair of Koss Portapro or SportaPros). Recommended, if you can find one at a good price.

This unit has just the right amount of features to make it very usefull without overwelming the user. Works just fine and creates a good sound, the included headphones are resonable as well.

This CD player is a great choice, considering its price and functionality. My only problem with it is that when loading an MP3 cd, it makes a weird squeal. It's obnoxious, to say the very least. Other than that, I love this CD player.
