Heats Gently and Evenly

The AVENT Classic Bottle/Food Warmer heats up bottles and food safely and evenly. Unlike microwaves, this warmer won't cause hotspots, so you can be sure the internal temperature is safe for your baby.

Takes Bottles, Magic Cups, and Food Jars

All Classic AVENT bottles, toddler cups, and food jars fit in this Classic warmer. Place baby food jars and filled bottles directly in the unit. When they're heated through, you can put the contents of the food jars in the included bowl to keep them warm.

Fast, Easy Operation

This warmer is easy to operate--just plug in and flip the on/off switch on the back of the unit. A neon light lets you know the unit is on and working. An included instruction guide makes it easy to calculate the correct heat-up time.

Operation involves adding water and turning the dial. The unit works quickly--it heats up 4 ounces of room temperature milk in approximately four minutes.

A light blinks to indicate that the contents are properly warmed to a safe temperature. To be sure, always test the internal temperature before giving to babies.

This bottle warmer has done its job and is awesome compared to running it under hot water (took forever) but it has some weird features. It has 3 settings but for warming anything from 4 oz. bottles to baby food, you use setting 3---don't know why there are even other settings. Also, it needs a timer. They give you specific heating times but there is no timer on the unit. You need to set another timer in order to not overheat the milk.

The Avent Bottle Warmer uses water (not steam) to heat the milk. Tried both steam & water bottle warmers, water bottle warmer is much better.

Advantages:
1) A must if glass bottles are used. If steam is used on glass bottles, there's a greater potential for breakage due to the sudden temperature change.
2) Better control of the temperature of the milk because you can take the bottle in and out & test it on your wrist as needed. With bottle warmers that use steam, you cannot take it out mid-cycle, and often the milk overheats or is still somewhat cold.
3) After burping the baby, the milk sometimes gets cold - just put it back into the warm water for a few seconds to warm it back up.
4) Amount of time required to heat the bottle is just right. Start warming the bottle (on setting #3) before changing the baby's diaper, and by the time the new diaper & bib is on, the bottle is ready. Sometimes the bottle may actually overheat if you are not fast enough, if so, just place the bottle in cold water & it reaches the correct temperature within seconds. Therefore, keep a container of cold water next to the Avent bottle warmer to: (a) Refill the water in the bottle warmer, and (b) to cool overheated bottles.
5) Always have the bottle warmer's water level at the same level as the milk for the most efficient warming. Setting #3 is almost always used. Haven't figured out the function of setting #2 yet. But Setting #1 (the lowest heat) is great to slowly warm & maintain the correct temperature of the milk. For example, while the milk is warming on setting #1, give the baby a bath - by the time the bath is done, the milk is ready at the perfect temperature & is never over- or under- heated.

While buying this product I was not sure it would work with bottles other Avents. We have used it with Medela and Dr Brown bottles and it works great.

First of all this does heat water....but so does my coffee maker, microwave, or stove. Since heating water is literally the ONLY feature this product has, its pretty dissapointing as a bottle warmer. Problems listed below.

1. No temperature control. You turn it on and it continues to make your bottle hotter and hotter. It does not turn off automatically when your bottle is warmed; in fact it doesn't even have a timer at all, so the timing is left up to you. Additional design flaw, the light turns on only when the water is actively heating and then turns off, so if your not careful the unit could be on (even though the light is off). If this happens you will unknowingly continue heating until the water is overheated and you burn the system out, or worse it starts a fire.

2. You're supposed to fill with water to just above the level of milk or formula. But with the bottle in you cant see the water level and of course its not transparent and there's no window. While not a deal breaker on its own, it is annoying.

3. There's three heat settings on the unit, but the directions show to always put the unit on 3 regardless of size or type of liquid. I have read through the manual several times and there is no mention whatsoever that heat settings 1 or 2 even exist....SO WHY THE HELL ARE THERE 3 SETTINGS??!!

So basically this will heat your bottle, but you will be timing it yourself and constantly testing on your arm to see if its too hot or cold. As this is the case, it completely defeats the purpose of getting a bottle warmer and really it is a way overpriced water heater. Do yourself a favor and read the other 1 star reviews before doing the smart thing and getting a different bottle warmer. Cant promise it will be better, but it almost certainly can't be worse!

This bottle warmer works great!! Since we don't have a microwave to heat water quickly, and I got tired of trying to heat bottles in warm water, a bottle warmer seemed to be the best solution.

I choose this brand because I use the Avent bottles and because a local store had it marked down to $24 (I didn't know the original price, and didn't realize what a deal I was getting). I was hoping it would work well, but it has surpassed all my expectations. It heats VERY quickly, even from refrigerator temperature. It's easy to use, clean, and store. Just be sure and follow the instructions. Once it begins to blink, remove the bottle and check the temp. I waited once and the bottle got quite warm. But, everytime I've removed it right away, the temp. has been perfect.

One note on the blinking light. The instructions say when the light blinks, the water has reached the proper temp. Now blinking to me means the light going on and off every few seconds. I guess this is not what blinking means to them. The light will go off, stay off for about 30-60 seconds, and then turn back on for 30-60 seconds. I didn't realize this was "blinking" until I waited through a few cycles and found the bottle very warm. So, I just put it where I can see it and remove the bottle when the light goes off the first time.

Also, as the other reviewer said, there is an on/off switch on the back of the until.

I highly recommend this product!!
