2.0 out of 5 stars Not so good
Bought 2 of these for my children, other daughter has an I-Pod. On the Go-Gear, if you move ahead a couple of songs the battery wears down a lot. Called tech support, and told me to do a soft re-set, did, still same problem!
If I had to do over I would have sacrificed the 32Gb for just an 8Gb and got 2 I-pods.

This is the first MP3 player I ever purchased so I looked at all of the models that had at least 30GB as I didn't wish to keep deleting and adding songs all of the time. The IPod has always been out with me as I didn't want to deal with Apple's proprietary software. I looked at the Zune but at twelve ounces I thought it a little bulky, and I wanted strictly a music player as I have a laptop for video and photos. I kept looking at the Philips and at $189.95 is seemed to have the best bang for the buck. The noise canceling headphones were also an attractive item.

Upon receiving the unit the CD Rom made getting started easy. The battery charged quickly and after all the data was loaded into my computer putting MP3s into the player was a snap. The noise canceling headphones were as good as advertised and sound was top notch. The controls were firm and not at all flimsy and the player with the stainless steel bespoke of the usual Philips quality that comes in their products. I plugged the unit into my truck stereo and it never sounded so good. This machine is a winner.
