4.0 out of 5 stars This shaver works
Of the many electric shavers I've purchased over the years, this one is among the best. I bought it from Amazon in June 2003. I have sensitive skin and have never used anything but electric razors. I bought this shaver in October for my 20th birthday in November.. When I finally got it, at first it wasn't that great.. It just trimmed my hair pretty short after having to go over every spot at least twice. And after awhile.. It stayed that way. The bikini area it was basically the same, but for underarms it worked pretty well. I wonder why for my legs it didn't...

Of the many electric shavers I've purchased over the years, this one is among the best. I bought it from Amazon in June 2003. I have sensitive skin and have never used anything but electric razors. The shaver cuts noticeably different on the "underarm" and "legs" settings and does excellently in both; amazingly, it cuts completely on the first or second pass. As to the "bikini" setting, well, I'm 56 and don't use/need that one. This shaver also holds a charge for longer than any one I've ever had; I've used it at least three or four times between charging. At the price, including no tax and shipping, this product really delivers. May 7, 2006 update: I paid $37 for this shaver three years ago. It has worked dependably for all this time. Now the price is $25. This is a real deal considering the quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied!, July 16, 2004

I recently purchased this shaver and I am very happy with it. I normally use a regular razor, however now I am pregnant and am having trouble seeing what I am shaving. From the first time I used this razor I was happy with the results. (I used it on my legs, and my bikini area and did not get even the slightest bit of a rash.) The shaver got closer then I thought it would and actually made my skin "smooth" the first time I used it. I would recomment this product to any woman out there that is use to a conventional razor, but wants to try an electric one for convenience.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best by Far, May 1, 2005

I've used electric shavers for about 8 years now - this is by far the best. Light years better than Remington, for example, my last shaver. Sure, it needs care (discharging and recharging fully every 4 weeks,) but doesn't everything of value and good quality require care?

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well!, March 21, 2004
This review is from: Philips Norelco HP6328 Women's Ladyshave Rechargeable Cordless Shaver (Health and Beauty)
I recently bought this and I am very pleased with it! I love the feature it has to change the metal type when shaving certain areas. The hair grows back just as quick as shaving, but without the nicks, cuts, and rashes. That is why I have stopped shaving my legs with a razor, and only use this shaver on them. It doesn't shave the hair with one stroke though. I have to go over it about three times to fully shave it. Overall, I am quite happy with this product!

So far I really like this razor, even though it doesn't cut as close as a staight razor does..

I like the rechargable case to set it in and think it is well worth the money I spent on it..

I wonder why for my legs it didn't? Either way.. It will not cut as well as a razor. Maybe this shaver is better for older women that don't mind the smooth touch as much? This was just my experience- I heard that you have to use the shaver for 3 weeks before your skin gets adjusted to it, but maybe that's wrong? I don't think I could go with this shaver for that long, because it really annoyed me that it didn't cut closer to my skin. At least there is a 60-day money back guarantee- So why not try it?

I was already using an older Phillips electric shaver which works better than this one. It takes me longer and it's not as precise. Not thrilled with my purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent shave but impossible to clean, May 1, 2006

I only used this to shave my legs, and it did a decent job, although I had to go over places a few times. However, while trying to remove the head to clean it I broke it. Thinking I was a klutz, I bought another one, tried to follow the directions and broke that razor, too. Off to buy a different brand. Good luck to those who try to clean this razor.

I had very high hopes for this razor but unfortunately, I had to return it. I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin but the trimmer blades on this razor hurt. I've used my husband's razor plenty of times and like it alot but it's not cordless and I wanted something I could use in the shower but this definately wasn't it for me. Also, it's battery has to be completely disharged every four weeks. I wasn't looking forward to having to remember to do that.

This razor has no button or notch or anything to assist in getting the top off so that you can clean out the hairs, etc. It's designed for you to just YANK it off - well that doesn't always work so well and I have twisted the blade inside while doing this and just barely got it back on. The reason I say "twisted the blade" is the second big problem - there is no actual blade! It's a flat piece of metal (thin & moldable) with holes in it (like a cheese grater) that lays up against a motor and this is what goes against your body to shave. Also the manual says to get a new "blade" every year - so you have to keep all the mailing info and order it yearly from the manufacturer! Keep looking - there must be a better razor out there!
