For the price, these great headphones are a gem! I have been in the market for some full sized headphones, looking at the Grados and Sennheisers for a while, but keeping an eye on what most would say about their cons. Upon stumbling over these I read and researched but to no avail didn't find many who have reviewed these, but the few that did rated it very well. It came to be that these are not sold in the US but mostly overseas in Europe and now they are a bit of a later model. Anyhow, after purchasing these and letting them "break-in" for 20hrs or so, they are wonderful lil cans! Excellent sound clarity and warm tones with all different types of music and sound. I use them to listen to electronica, classical, DVD movies, and gaming and they sound great. I primarily have this connected to my X-Fi Fatality Extreme Gamer sound card which has more push than onboard audio, so if you decide to use this then maybe an amplifier should be considered, mine worked fine however. The way it is designed to just float over the top of your head is great, I don't feel any kind of pressure and can wear these as long as I want, or until my ears get pretty hot (only on hot days 80º and up inside). The cord is extra long and the connector is solid metal through and through with a spring over the cord near it and gold plated. Overall just excellent build quality. The bass could be more pounding, but they sell headphones just for that, I would say it's overall pretty a flat response. For it's price, this competes with the $100+ Grado's and Sennheisers and doesn't sound much different. Good value overall. A+

I bought these about a year ago at overstock for $30.00 and i had some Grado Sr-80's at the time but I got rid of the Grado's because these phones kicked butt and were better than the Grado's. They sound awesome after break in and have a killer sound stage and great overall sound. I hope these last a very long time because these headphones will be very difficult to replace for the price. They sound better than the Sennheiser HD-280s i had also. The open backs make for a awesome listening experience. You will not find a better headphone for the price.

Pros1. A+ audio experience.(I now use two pairs in my editing studio.) 2. Very comfortable blue cloth covered ear cups and head support band. 3. Very durable feel and construction. (Even though they are almost etirely plastic.) 4. 50mm Drivers rated all the way down to 5Hz and up to 32KHz... And they WILL do it. Amazing! 5. Sci-Fi futuristic design 6. gold plated 3.5mm connector with secure threaded 1/4" adapter. Cons 1. They tend to be a bit loose on slimmer heads. There is no way to adjust the width. 2. Will be difficult to replace in a few years 3. Plastic cord is very stiff and won't lay flat. 4. Let in too much outside noise. |
