Great Product and Value,

This review is from: Philips MP3-CD Portable CD Player/ Walkman EXP2550 (Electronics)
I have used this with my own burned mp3 disk in an over-the-road tractor & trailer, which is a pretty nasty atmosphere for any cd player! The only time this one lost it's place was when it fell on the floor from the dash, which has happened too many times, but still plays perfectly. It's too bad they quit making this one, but when do they stick with a winner?

Lacks Some Key Features,
By BigBird (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Philips MP3-CD Portable CD Player/ Walkman EXP2550 (Electronics)
I intended to use this device in my car as an MP3 player. Listen to it sequentially, shut it off to leave the car, and then pick up where I left off when I start the car again. It took me 5 minutes to decide to return it. If these missing features are important to you, you should avoid this unit also:
1. It doesn't remember any of its settings between power-offs. Even the volume must be re-selected. 2. It doesn't remember its position on the CD between power-offs. It always starts over again at track #1. If you have an MP3 CD with 300+ songs on it, you will have to press the "track skip" button 250 times to start listening at the 250th song, for example, or else get sick of listening to the beginning of the CD over and over. 3. It doesn't display the song title and artist on the display. It only displays the track # and position (minutes & seconds) within the track.

Not very good.,
By Paul Baker (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Philips MP3-CD Portable CD Player/ Walkman EXP2550 (Electronics)
This is the worst piece of electronics that I've encountered in the past 2 years. Stops for no apparent reason. When it starts back up, fails to see the disk repeatedly. Very sensitive to jitter, even when the player is on the anti-skip mode. The hinge for it is flimsy. Every option goes back to default after each stop, so I have to spend a minute adjusting it each time. The bad news is that this is the worst portable audio that I've every used. The good news is that this is good for the economy, because I'll have to spend more money (buying another player soon).
