5.0 out of 5 stars Nice TV for a Great Price....
I was looking for a TV that didn't cost a lot of money, for the sole purpose of leaving it in my campsite. You know so that if anybody stole it I wouldn't be out a lot. Well, now the TV is in my bedroom. I like it well. The remote has the buttons a little close together but easy to work with. The chanels go up to 99. The TV is easy to carry but doesn't have any handles...

2.0 out of 5 stars be careful
This Tv would be great if all I was going to do was watch tv. unfortunately not. I needed a small cheap TV for my dorm room to hookup my playstation 2. Unfortunately no audio/video inputs. So now i have to buy an adapter, and that means worse quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice TV for a Great Price...., October 17, 2000
This review is from: Philips Magnavox PR1906C 19" TV (Electronics)
I was looking for a TV that didn't cost a lot of money, for the sole purpose of leaving it in my campsite. You know so that if anybody stole it I wouldn't be out a lot. Well, now the TV is in my bedroom. I like it well. The remote has the buttons a little close together but easy to work with. The chanels go up to 99. The TV is easy to carry but doesn't have any handles. The picture is perfect even off of rabbit ears mounted on top of the TV. That alone impressed me. The speakers give out sound extremly evenly, a very well rounded stero effect and it'll go up loud enough to shake the windows. Using the remote, the TV responded quickly to the remote, some TVs take their sweet time adjusting the volume control, not this beauty, the volume drops like a rock and climbs like a home sick angel. The set warms up quickly and gives a picture instantly. If you're looking for a low cost TV with good performance, which is why I bought this TV, go ahead and purchase it. It comes complete with a warranty card with the model & serial numbers already on it. All you do is fill in your name and address. Plus it came with a 1-800-number so all you hook-up people that need help conecting it to your stero, VCR, and dishwashers can have a live person to talk to so you can hook-up everything in the house to it. Buy the TV and stop looking....Regards Frank....

5.0 out of 5 stars Benchmark quality!, June 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Philips Magnavox PR1906C 19" TV (Electronics)
Everyone has heard the name of Magnavox, but few know it as Philips-Magnavox. The company has established a benchmark for the television industry in the United States, with a beautiful, clear picture and user-friendly remote controls. This television is a wonderful addition to any home and fits nicely into entertainment centers. My last Magnavox was purchased 12 years ago and still has not needed a repair! Amazing isn't it? This is QUALITY and PERFORMANCE and this is why I used the term "benchmark". Colors are clear and true, never needing adjustment. The picture and sound are as true in clarity and free from problems. I am sold on the company name as well as the product. I will always look for a Philips-Magnavox as my first choice.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke in 8 months, January 31, 2001
This review is from: Philips Magnavox PR1906C 19" TV (Electronics)
After recieving this product as a Christmas present, it broke in august of that follwoing year. Philips Magnavox denied any responsibility and I either had to pay $100 for the labor and parts, or just forget it. I wound up throwing it away. The TV only cost $129.99 when it was bought for me as a present. I was not going to spend a ridiculous amount of money to get it fixed less than a year after it was sold. I will never again buy a Philips Magnavox product and I recommend you don't either. Would you really like to endure the bother of a broken television 8 months from now?

Do not have this TV shipped to you, the box and packing is so poor that if your set would arrive in one piece you've won half the battle. Well that's really not true either. The first set I received was in a totally smashed box, the 2 styrofoam packing inserts were in a million pieces, falling out of the holes in the box. The power cord was dragging on the ground, the delivery man almost tripped over it. Part 2....The second set arrived, the box was well beaten and the styrofoam was in 8 pieces rather than two, but the set seemed to be in decent shape, it wasn't. The picture was in tri-color like when color TV's first came on the market. Adjustments did not fix the problem. This is a extremely poor television. The absolute minimum of packaging materials being used tells me that this manufacturer doesn't really care if this TV gets to you in one piece or not. This one will also be returned.

Man, this television is great one...its a great dependable company, and i would recomend it to anyone. The only downside to it is that the remote isnt to my liking. I would personally buy a universal remote that you are comforatable with.

This is a excellent buy. I received the TV in 5 days. Everything was in mint condition. I am very pleased with this TV. It is wonderful in my room and compliments my taste. Phillips Magnavox does live up to its reputation. Looking for a good TV at a good price. My advice is buy this one and be as pleased as I am. Enjoy...

5.0 out of 5 stars philips, June 26, 2000

This television set has excellent color. No fuzzy pinks 4 months after you buy the set. My 8 year old niece threw a porcelin figurine at it and I thought it would have chipped, but it didn't. The sound doesn't go up and down automatically without you turning it up or down. Excellent choice. Next TV set will be a Philips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Product, March 14, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Philips Magnavox PR1906C 19" TV (Electronics)
I bought my Magnavox nearly 10 years ago. It was so long ago that I don't even remember the price. The picture and sound are just as crisp and sharp as day one. Still the best picture I've seen on any television out there, even those that cost 5x as much. The remote died probably a year or so ago, but with the proliferation of universal remotes it made no difference. I'm looking to upgrade to a 25 or 27 inch and I'm not even interested in looking at any other brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great TV at a great price, April 19, 2001
By
This review is from: Philips Magnavox PR1906C 19" TV (Electronics)
I bought this television to use in my study. While this model may not have all the bells and whistles others have, it has proven to be a great product and at such a great price it is a rare find. It is very easy to use and projects a very clear and crisp picture. I would reccomend this TV to anyone looking for a quality product at a fair price.
