1.0 out of 5 stars What is 84 channel VTS Tuning?
This is not a review. I would like to know what this 84 channel VTS tuning means, in other words , can it be connected to cable tv and get a substantial amount of stations, or will it still just get 13 misc. channels? Thanks.

I bought this TV to take with me to football games so I could stay up to date with other games. Everybody around me can't believe the picture even during the day!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wish it was cable ready, September 13, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips Magnavox RD0525C 5" TV (Electronics)
I have this tv hooked up to my DVD player and my Panasonic shelf sound system at work. Not too bad of a set up. The color is rich and bright. I don't know how well it can get tv stations but that's fine by me since I only use it as a monitor anyway. Where I live tvs can't really work unless you have cable or a dish. Otherwise it's a nice investment for a micro theater system. If it was cable ready it would get five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great TV - read the page, all you people with questions, March 18, 2002
This review is from: Philips Magnavox RD0525C 5" TV (Electronics)
I used to own a similar TV, but of much poorer quality and workmanship. For all you people with questions, please check out the specifications link and also look at the "see it in motion" page. What a great feature! with spinning models and back and front detailed views! I love it! Anyhow, with these hook-ups, you can connect your TV to the VCR and cable, and then use your remote to get any channels you can get on your regular TV. This TV looks great, with many picture controls and everything else you really need. I'm definitely buying one the first chance I get. It's just what I've been looking for and will be perfect on my work desk next to the computer. And, Philips' quality is worth the extra dollars over comparable products.

If you have cable, can you connect to the TV and receive more than the minimum number of tv channels? If your cable system has channels up to 84, can you receive them? In other words, is it cable ready? Can you set the channels on the sliding dial or are they preset? Would like to purchase, but unclear on TVs capability.
